ABSTRACT This study aims to: (1) Identify the learning challenges faced by Phase A students at SIKL, (2) Describe the development process of the Parent-Teacher Partnership Application (PTP App) as a communication medium between teachers and parents for Phase A students at SIKL, and (3) Explain the implementation of the PTP App as a medium for teacher-parent communication in supervising Phase A students at SIKL. This research utilizes a Research and Development (R&D) approach with the ADDIE method (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) as the development framework.
The results indicate that the learning challenges faced by Phase A students at SIKL are categorized into three factors: academic, non-academic, and environmental factors. The PTP App demonstrated good reliability, with a Cronbach’s Alpha score of 0.729. Descriptive statistical results revealed that the average evaluation scores for each indicator ranged from 3.94 to 4.22, reflecting positive responses to the application. Validity testing also showed that most indicators had significant correlations with the total score (p < 0.05), supporting the instrument’s validity.
The implementation of the PTP App was proven to improve the efficiency of teacher reporting and parental involvement in supervising students' learning activities. This study concludes that the PTP App is an effective digital medium to support the supervision of Phase A students’ learning at SIKL. However, the study recommends developing personalization features and expanding the app’s use to other educational phases. These findings can serve as a reference for developing similar supervision media in other educational settings.
