INHIBITORY CONTROL PADA PEMAHAMAN MEMBACA ANAK DISLEKSIA
INHIBITORY CONTROL IN READING COMPREHENSION OF CHILDREN WITH DYSLEXIA
Permasalahan Inhibitory Control sering dihadapi oleh anak disleksia terutama pada kemampuan fokus dan mempertahankan perhatian. Penelitian bertujuan mengidentifikasi peran antara inhibitory control serta pemahaman membaca pada anak disleksia di Yayasan Sebaya Sidoarjo dan Surabaya. Desain penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Subjek penelitian berjumlah sembilan orang dengan dua anak disleksia, dua orang tua, tiga guru, dan dua terapis. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik studi dokumentasi, observasi, dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik triangulasi data dengan uraian reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan Kesimpulan (Miles dan Huberman). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa menurut tiga subjek guru, permasalahan utama pada anak disleksia adalah kesulitan fokus dan mempertahankan perhatian. Dua subjek yaitu anak disleksia juga menunjukkan kelemahan dalam inhibitory control, terutama dalam fokus dan menahan respons, pendapat ini didukung oleh dua subjek terapis dan dua subjek orang tua. Kesimpulan menggambarkan kemampuan inhibitory control berperan penting dalam pemahaman membaca anak disleksia, sementara faktor eksternal seperti lingkungan belajar dan suasana hati turut memengaruhi, walaupun motivasi tidak berkaitan langsung. Penelitian memberikan kontribusi untuk meningkatkan pemahaman mengenai peran inhibitory control dalam pemahaman membaca.

Inhibitory control problems are often faced by dyslexic children, especially in the ability to focus and maintain attention. The research aims to identify the role of inhibitory control and reading comprehension in dyslexic children at the Yayasan Sebaya Sidoarjo and Surabaya. Qualitative research design with descriptive approach. The research subjects totaled nine people with two dyslexic children, two parents, three teachers, and two therapists. Data collection used documentation study techniques, observation, and interviews. Data analysis used triangulation techniques describing data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing (Miles and Huberman). The results showed that according to three teacher subjects, the main problem in dyslexic children is difficulty focusing and maintaining attention. Two subjects, namely dyslexic children, also showed weaknesses in inhibitory control, especially in focusing and holding responses; two therapist subjects and two parent subjects supported this opinion. The conclusion illustrates that inhibitory control ability plays an important role in dyslexic children's reading comprehension. At the same time, external factors such as learning environment and mood also influence, although motivation is not directly related. The study contributes to an improved understanding of the role of inhibitory control in reading comprehension.
