Penelitian ini bertujuan menghasilkan materi ajar elektronikteks biografi dengan model discovery learning mengguunakan edmodo untuk kelas X yang valid, efektif dan praktis. Tahapan dalam pengembangan materi ajar elektronikteks biografi didasarkan pada model pengembangan 4-D (Four-D) yang diciptakan oleh Thiagarajan. Dikatakan Four-D karena memiliki empat langkah yang harus dilalui, yaitu devine, design, develop,dan desseninate. Model ini kemudian disederhanakan menjadi model pengembangan 3-P, yaitu pendefinisian, perancangan, dan pengembangan. Subjek uji coba dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas X SMA Santo Carolus Surabaya. Peserta didik yang dijadikan subjek dalam uji coba kelompok kecil adalah 8 peserta didik kelas X. Sedangkan subjek uji coba pada uji coba kelompok besar adalah 21 peserta didik dari kelas X-IPS 2. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik wawancara, validasi, observasi, angket dan tes hasil belajar. Hasil penelitian meliputi: (1) Yang pertama, proses materi ajar elektronik dikembangkan terdiri dari tiga tahap, yaitu tahap pendefinisian, tahap perancangan, dan tahap pengembangan. Tahap pendefinisian terdiri dari 5 tahap, yaitu tahap analisis awal peserta didik, konsep, tugas, dan tujuan pembelajaran. Tahap perancangan terdiri dari tahap format awal, format bahan dan tahap validasi. Tahap pengembangan draf I, draf II, Uji Coba Terbatas draf III, Uji Coba Luas dan draf IV. (2) Yang kedua, hasil kualitas pengembangan materi ajar elektronik teks biografi dilihat dari kevalidan, keefektivan dan kepraktisan. Hasil kevalidan materi ajar elektronik KTB secara keseluruhan menunjukkan skor rata-rata 3.68 sehingga dapat dinyatakan dalam kategori valid untuk digunakan. Hasil keefektifan materi ajar elektronikdiperoleh dari data keterlaksanaan RPP yang menunjukkan 100% terlaksana, data hasil belajar peserta didik yang menunjukkan ketuntasan klasikal sebesar 86%, dan data hasil tes menulis teks biografi menunjukkan rata-rata skor 86 sehingga memenuhi standar KKM. Hasil kepraktisan materi ajar elektronik KTB diperoleh dari data hasil respon peserta didik terhadap materi ajar elektronik KTB yang menunjukkan rata-rata skor sebesar 3.78 dengan kategori sangat baik dan data hasil respon peserta didik terhadap model pembelajaran pencapaian konsep yang menunjukkan skor sebesar 3.61 dengan kategori sangat baik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa produk bahan ajar yang dikembangkan layak digunakan baik dari segi kevalidan, keefektifan, ataupun kepraktisan bahan ajar.

Keywords: development, E-teaching materials, biography text, discovery learning model The study is intended to produce a valid, effective, and practical E-teaching materials of biography text with discovery learning model using Edmodo for X grade. The steps of the development of this biography text student e-book are framed into 4-D (Four-D) development model that was created by Thiagarajan. Four-D comprised of 4 steps namely, define, design, develop, and disseminate. This model is further simplified into 3-P development model which are define, design, and develop. The research subjects were the X grade students of Santo Carolus Senior High School Surabaya which were categorized into small and big groups. The small group’s subjects were consisted of 8 students which were taken randomly from X Science 1. X Science 2, X Social 1, and X Social 2. On the one hand, the big group’s subjects were 21 students from X Social 2. Several data gathering techniques were implemented in the study namely, interview, validation, observation, questionnaire, and study report test. The results of the study included (1) First, the development of E-teaching materials which consist of three steps; those are define, design, and develop. The definition step comprises of five steps, namely early step analysis, students, concept, task, and learning objective. The designing step consist of early formatting, materials formatting, and validity steps. Next, the development step of draft I, draft II, draft III limited trial, broad trial, and draft IV. (2) Second, the quality of biography text E-teaching materials result could be seen from the validity, effectiveness, and practicality. The validity of electronic KTB as a whole showed an average score of 3.68 which was considered as valid applied in the study. The results of students’ book effectiveness were obtained from implemented lesson plan which implied that 100% was conducted, the students learning outcomes data indicated classical completeness of 86%, and writing results of biography text data displayed an average score of 86 so that it achieved the KKM standard. The practicality results of KTB students’ book were obtained from the students’ responses data on KTB students’ e-book which showed an average score of 3.78 in the very good category and the data on the results of students' responses to the learning model of concept achievement which showed a score of 3.61 in the very good category. Based on the study findings, the development of teaching product is acceptable for use in term of validity, affectivity, effectiveness, or practicality of teaching materials.
