PENGARUH JENIS BENANG TERHADAP HASIL JADI CORSAGE BERBASIS TEKNIK CROCHET
COMPARISON OF YARN TYPES ON THEFINISHED CORSAGE USING THE CROCHET TECHNIQUE
Popularitas crochet yang meningkat menarik minat orang
awam untuk belajar teknik ini. Sebagai crocheter pemula, mereka
harus mengetahui jenis benang yang memiliki karakteristik sesuai
dengan karakteristik produk crochet yang akan dibuat. Benang
terbagi menjadi beberapa jenis berdasarkan serat penyusun dan
ketebalannya, masing – masing benang akan menghasilkan efek
yang berbeda pada produk crochet. Produk crochet saat ini ada
banyak macam, seperti perlengkapan rumah tangga, produk
wearable busana, dan produk aksesoris. Salah satu produk
aksesoris adalah corsage yang merupakan hiasan busana berbentuk
replika bunga. Salah satu bunga yang sering digunakan adalah
anyelir. Bunga anyelir memiliki anatomi kelopak yang besar dan
padat susunannya, sehingga dapat membentu setengah bola
dengan diameter 7cm. Pembuatan corsage dapat menggunakan
bahan seperti, kain bahan utama busana, kain lain, pita, kertas, dan
benang.
Penelitian eksperimen ini dilakukan untuk
membandingkan hasil jadi produk crochet berupa corsage dengan
tiga jenis benang yang berbeda, yaitu benang katun, benang
poliester, dan benang akrilik. Metode yang digunakan adalah
melalui kuisioner yang ditujukan kepada orang – orang yang
mengetahui tentang croche, kemudian hasilnya akan diuji dengan
uji non parametrik Kruskal-Wallist. Hasil penelitian ini
menunjukkan bahwa nilai Kruskal-Wallis H = 33.167 dan nilai
signifikansi sebesar 0.000 < α = 0.05, maka H0 ditolak. Dengan ini
dapat dikatakan bahwa ada perbedaan hasil jadi menggunakan
tiga jenis benang yang berbeda, yakni benang katun, benang
poliester, dan benang akrilik. Peringkat tertinggi pada jenis
benang poliester sebesar 67.78 dilanjutkan dengan benang katun
sebesar 35.08 dan terakhir benang akrilik sebesar 33.63 atau dapat
disimpulkan benang poliester > benang katun > benang akrilik.

The increasing popularity of crochet attracts people who are new
to the technique. As a beginner crocheter, they must have knowledge of
the type of yarn that has characteristics in accordance with the
characteristics of the crochet product to be made. Yarn is divided into
several types based on the constituent fibres and thickness, each yarn will
create a different effect on the crochet product. There are many kinds of
crochet products today, such as household appliances, fashion wearable
products, and accessories products. One of the accessory items is a
corsage, which is a fashion embellishment in the form of a flower
imitation. One of the flowers that is often used is carnation. The carnation
flower has a large and closely arranged petals anatomy, so it can form a
semi globe with a diameter of 7cm. Corsage can be made using materials
such as the main fabric of the piece, other textiles, ribbons, paper, and
yarn.
This experimental research was conducted to compare the result of
finished crochet products in a corsage with three different types of yarns,
such as cotton yarn, polyester yarn, and acrylic yarn. The method used is
through a questionnaire addressed to people who know about crochet, then
the results will be tested with Kruskal-Wallis non-parametric test. The
results if this study indicate that the Kruskal-Wallis value H = 33,167
and significance value of 0.000 < a = 0.05, then H0 is rejected. Therefore,
it can be said that there is a difference in the result of finished corsage
using three different types of yarns, such as cotton yarn, polyester yarn,
and acrylic yarn. The highest rank is in polyester yarn at 67.78 followed
by cotton yarn at 35.08 and finally acrylic yarn at 33.63 or it can be
summarised that polyester yarn > cotton yarn > acrylic yarn.
