Efektivitas Pembelajaran POE (Predict, Observe, and Explain) Terhadap Peningkatan Keterampilan Proses Sains Siswa SD Kelas V Dalam Pembelajaran Daring
The Effectiveness Of POE (Predict, Observe, and Explain) Learning To Improving The Science Process Skill Of V Grade Elementary School Student In Online Learning
Akibat Pandemi Covid-19, berimbas kepada pelaksanaan kegiatan belajar di sekolah yang harus dilaksanakan secara daring. Salah satu kelemahan pembelajaran daring yaitu penggunaan waktu yang sangat terbatas, sehingga kondisi tersebut berefek kepada rendahnya keterampilan proses sains siswa. Oleh karena itu, peneliti berinovatif untuk melaksanakan pembelajaran POE (Predict, Observe, and Explain) dan mencari tahu keefektifannya dalam meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains siswa SD kelas V pada pembelajaran daring. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen berbentuk nonequivalent control group design. Populasi penelitian mencakup siswa kelas V di SDN Lidah Kulon I/464 Surabaya. Purposive sampling dipilih sebagai teknik penentuan sampel dengan pembagian menjadi dua kelas yaitu 15 siswa dari kelas V-C dijadikan sebagai kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan pembelajaran POE sedangkan 15 siswa lainnya dari kelas V-B dijadikan sebagai kelas kontrol yang menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional. Instrumen penelitian yang dipilih berupa tes keterampilan proses sains, lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, dan kuesioner angket respon siswa. Peneliti menggunakan statistik parametrik untuk menganalisis data tes keterampilan proses sains. Dalam penelitian, diperoleh rerata hasil observasi kepraktisan pembelajaran POE pada pertemuan ke-1, ke-2 dan ke-3 secara berurutan yaitu 76,4% dengan kategori tinggi, 80,3% dengan kategori sangat tinggi, dan 88,6% dengan kategori sangat tinggi. Berdasarkan hasil uji-t dengan independent sample didapatkan bahwa nilai signifikansi dengan taraf 5% pada ketiga pertemuan < 0,05, dengan diperoleh nilai t hitung > t tabel yaitu 2,160 maka dapat diambil keputusan Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Pada perolehan hasil N-Gain menunjukkan rerata skor gain pada kelas eksperimen mencapai 0,61. Maka didapatkan kesimpulan bahwa tampak adanya perbedaan nilai keterampilan proses sains yang signifikan antara siswa yang melaksanakan pembelajaran POE dan siswa dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Sehingga pembelajaran POE efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains siswa SD kelas V dalam pembelajaran daring, dengan kategori tingkat keefektifan yang cukup.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, it has an impact on the implementation of learning activities in school which must be carried out online. One of the deficiency online learning is the use of very limited time, so this condition has an effect on the low science process skill of student. Therefore, researcher have the innovation to conduct POE (Predict, Observe, and Explain) learning and know it effectiveness to improving the science process skill of 5th grade elementary school students in online learning. The research method used is quasi experimental in the form of nonequivalent control group design. The research population included 5th grade students at SDN Lidah Kulon I/464 of Surabaya. Purposive sampling was chosen as a sample determination technique by dividing into two classes, namely 15 students from 5-C class were used as experimental class using POE learning, while the other 15 students from class of 5-B were used as control class using conventional learning. The research instruments chosen were in the form of science process skill test, observation sheet for the implementation of learning, and student response questionnaires. Researcher used parametric statistic to analyze science process skill test data. In this research, the average results of observation on the implementation of POE learning at the 1st, 2nd, 3rd of meetings were obtained sequentially, 76,4% with high categories, 80,3% with very high categories, and 88,6% with very high categories. Based on the results of the t-test with an independent sample, it was found that the signification value with a level of 5% at the three meetings < 0,05, with the obtained of the calculate tvalue >ttable, which was 2,160. The decision was made is Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected. The N-Gain results show that the average gain score in the experimental class reach 0,61. So, it was conclude that, there appeared to be a significant difference in the value of science process skill between students who carried out POE learning and students with conventional learning. So, that POE learning is effective to improving the science process skill of 5th grade elementary school student in online learning, with a quite level of effectiveness category.
