This research aims to determine the effect
of teacher profession perception, self-efficacy, and management learning
program toward the interest to be an accounting teacher to the students of
accounting education study in 2015 at the Faculty of Economics in Surabaya
State University.
This research is a quantitative research
that uses the technique of data collection using interviews, questionnaires,
and documentation. The populations and samples of this research are 84 students
of accounting education study in 2015 using the saturated samples. The data
analysis technique of this research uses the multiple linear regression
analysis, which has tested on the classical assumption test by the researcher
using the SPSS version 22.0 program previously.
Based on the t-test result, the significant
value of the analysis result of the teacher profession perception variable is
0.001, the self-efficacy variable is 0,000, and the management learning program
variable is 0.035. It means that as partially, the three variables influence
the interest to be a teacher because it has a significant value as <0.05.
While, the F-test result has a significant value as 0,000. This shows us that
the teacher profession perception, the self-efficacy, and the management
learning program simultaneous influence the interest to be an accounting
teacher to the students of accounting education study in 2015 at Faculty of
Economics in Surabaya State University.
Besides the t-test and F-test, the value of
R square (R2) is 0.789. It means that 78.9% of the interest to be an accounting
teacher is influenced by the teacher profession perception, the self-efficacy,
and the management learning program. While, 21.1% is caused by the other
factors that do not explain in this research.
