Literasi digital merupakan salah satu kompetensi abad ke-21 yang menuntut seseorang memahami dan menggunakan informasi berbagai bentuk dan berbagai sumber melalui komputer. Literasi digital harus ditingkatkan untuk membekali siswa memilah informasi dan konten berita secara online. Pengembangan buku berbasis elektronik submateri Invertebrata perlu diterapkan untuk mengetahui perannya dalam peningkatan literasi digital siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mendeskripsikan keterlaksanaan pembelajaran menggunakan buku berbasis elektronik Invertebrata, (2) menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan buku berbasis elektronik Invertebrata terhadap kemampuan literasi digital siswa, (3) menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan buku berbasis elektronik Invertebrata terhadap hasil belajar siswa, dan (4) mendeskripsikan respons siswa terhadap pembelajaran menggunakan buku berbasis elektronik Invertebrata. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu menggunakan desain penelitian the matching-only pretest posttest control group design. Penelitian dilaksanakan mulai Januari hingga Mei 2019 di Jurusan Biologi Unesa dan SMA Negeri 1 Gresik. Sampel diambil sebanyak dua kelas X sebagai kelas kontrol dan kelas perlakuan masing-masing kelas diambil 30 siswa. Instrumen penelitian meliputi lembar pengamatan keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, lembar penilaian soal, dan lembar respons siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode pengamatan, tes, dan angket. Data dianalisis berdasarkan keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, ketuntasan literasi digital, ketuntasan hasil belajar, dan respons siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran menggunakan buku berbasis elektronik Invertebrata dapat terlaksana dengan sangat baik (persentase skor sebesar 98,6%). Pembelajaran menggunakan buku berbasis elektronik Invertebrata berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan literasi digital siswa, sebesar 57% siswa tuntas dan 100% siswa mengalami peningkatan kategori sedang hingga tinggi. Pembelajaran menggunakan buku berbasis elektronik Invertebrata berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar siswa, sebesar 80% siswa tuntas dan sebesar 100% siswa mengalami peningkatan kategori sedang hingga tinggi. Siswa merespons positif pembelajaran menggunakan buku berbasis elektronik Invertebrata dan penerapan keterampilan literasi digital (persentase sebesar 97,4%).

Digital literacy is the one of 21st century competency that demand person to understand and use information in multiple forms and sources through computer. Digital literacy should be enhanced for educating students how to filter information and news contents online. The development of electronic-based book on Invertebrate submaterial need to be applied for understanding its role in enhancing students digital literacy. This research aimed to (1) describe the implementation of learning process using electronic-based Invertebrate book, (2) analyze influence of electronic-based Invertebrate book on students digital literacy, (3) analyze influence of electronic-based Invertebrate book on students learning outcomes, and (4) describe student responses on learning using electronic-based Invertebrate book. This research was a quasi experimental using the matching-only pretest-posttest control group design. The activities was held on January to May, 2019 in Biology Department Unesa and SMA Negeri 1 Gresik. The sample was two classes which defined as control class and experiment class, each class consists of 30 students. Research instruments were implementation sheet, question assessment sheet, and student response sheet. Data collection techniques were observation, test, and questionnaire methods. The data analyzed based on learning implementation, the mastery of digital literacy, the mastery of learning outcomes, and student responses. The result showed that learning process using electronic-based Invertebrate book carried out very good (in the percentage of 98.6%). Learning process using electronic-based Invertebrate book was influential to the digital literacy skill, 57% of students completed the minimum score of test and 100% of students enhanced in the category of moderate to high. Meanwhile, learning process using electronic-based Invertebrate book was influential to the learning outcomes, 80% of students completed the minimum score of test and 100% of students enhanced in the category of moderate to high. Students was positively response to the learning process and application of digital literacy skill (in the percentage of 97.4%).Key words: Electronic-based book, digital literacy, Invertebrate
