INTERNALISASI BUDAYA KOREAN WAVE DI KALANGAN PELAJAR K-POPERS DI SMA NEGERI 15 SURABAYA
INTERNALIZATION OF KOREAN WAVE CULTURE AMONG K-POPERS STUDENTS AT SURABAYA 15 SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kepopuleran tren Korean Wave di Indonesia dan mencermati proses terjadinya internalisasi budaya Korean Wave di kalangan pelajar K-Popers di SMA Negeri 15 Surabaya. Peneliti menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif, dimana metode penlitian ini mampu menggambarkan fenomena Korean Wave di Indonesia secara umum, serta menggambarkan pola pikir, perilaku, dan gaya hidup yang dimiliki pelajar-pelajar K-Popers. Penelitian ini dilakukan di 4 lokasi penelitian, yakni SMA Negeri 15 Surabaya, BG Junction Mall, studio tari Dojo Ngagel, dan tempat tinggal para informan, dengan durasi waktu selama 3 bulan. Untuk mengetahui kepopuleran tren Korean Wave dan proses interalisasi budaya Korean Wave, peneliti memilih pelajar-pelajar K-Popers SMA Negeri 15 Surabaya yang bergabung ke dalam ekstrakulikuler Korean Language and Culture Lesson (KOLACULE) sebagai subjek penelitian. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan teori habitus yang digagas oleh Pierre Bourdieu, karena teori habitus relevan dengan fenomena internalisasi budaya Korean Wave yang mendorong timbulnya habitus fangirling di kalangan pelajar K-Popers SMA Negeri 15 Surabaya.
The purpose of this research is to describe the popularity of the Korean Wave trend in Indonesia and to investigate the process of internalization of Korean Wave culture among K-Popers at Surabaya 15 Senior High School. The researcher uses a descriptive qualitative method, this research method is able to describe the Korean Wave phenomenon in Indonesia in general, as well as the mindset, behavior, and lifestyle of K-Popers students. This research was conducted at 4 research locations, namely Surabaya 15 Senior High School, BG Junction Mall, Dojo Ngagel dance studio, and the informants' residence, with a duration of 3 months. To find out the popularity of the Korean Wave trend and the Korean Wave cultural internalization process, researchers chose K-Popers students from Surabaya 15 Senior High School who joined the extracurricular Korean Language and Culture Lesson (KOLACULE) as research subjects. Researchers used Pierre Bourdieu's habitus theory in this study because it is relevant to the phenomenon of Korean Wave cultural internalization, which encourages the emergence of habitus fangirling among K-Popers students at Surabaya 15 Senior High School.
