The learning loss phenomenon in
student participants that occurs during the Covid-19 pandemic leads to the loss
of emotional bond between educators and student participants. This is the main
reason for the emergency implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum that was
created in the spirit of transformation towards a more flexible learning
environment by emphasizing fundamental topics and the growth of the character
profile of students Pancasila. Ornstein & Hunkins notes implementation
failures in more than 90% of new curricula, due to educators lacking managerial
skills in the classroom, knowledge to implement programmes in the new
curriculum, and the pressure of rapid change in the very fast-paced world of
education.
The study aims to evaluate the
readiness of educators at Al Wardah and Al Iman in implementing the Pancasila
Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5), using a qualitative approach with
the type of evaluative research with the CIPP evaluation model developed by
Stufflebeam. The data collection used in this study were interviews,
observation, and documentation techniques. Data analysis techniques are used by
Miles and Huberman. Based on the results of interviews with eight teachers of
group B in TK Al Wardah and TK Al Iman, 75% of educators have not known the
existence of the latest Model of Teacher Competence from GTK No.
6565/B/GT/2020. Results of observations of teachers at TK Al Wardah and TK Al
Iman showed that the average teachers is on the verge of developing and knowing
competence. In general, the level of teacher preparation in implementing P5 in
TK Al Wardah and TK Al Iman is good.
