DEVELOPMENT OF INTERACTIVE STORYBOOK MEDIA FOR THE ABILITY TO UNDERSTAND SIMPLE SENTENCE PATTERNS FOR 3rd GRADE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENT
Kemampuan memahami pola kalimat sederhana merupakan kompetensi dasar penting bagi peserta didik kelas III sekolah dasar sebagai fondasi dalam keterampilan berbahasa. Namun kenyataannya, masih banyak peserta didik yang mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami pola kalimat sederhana sebagai dasar menyusun kalimat berpola SPO dan SPOK karena keterbatasan media pembelajaran yang sesuai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan media Storybook Interaktif yang valid, praktis dan efektif untuk kemampuan memahami pola kalimat sederhana peserta didik kelas III sekolah dasar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan dengan model ADDIE yang terdiri atas analyze, design, development, implementation dan evaluation. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas 24 peserta didik di kelas IIIC SDN Pacarkeling I/182. Instrumen pengumpulan data melalui lembar validasi ahli materi dan ahli media serta penyebaran angket respon kepada pendidik dan peserta didik. Hasil validasi ahli menunjukkan bahwa media termasuk dalam kategori “sangat valid” dengan persentase validasi materi dan validasi media di angka 94%. Berdasarkan angket respon pendidik dan peserta didik, uji coba menunjukkan tingkat kepraktisan media “sangat tinggi” dengan persentase masing-masing 96% dan 98%. Keefektifan media dibuktikan melalui peningkatan pemahaman peserta didik dari hasil pre-test dan post-test, dengan rata-rata nilai N-Gain 24 siswa sebesar 0,75 dimana (0,75 ≥ 0,7) yang menunjukkan kategori “tinggi”. Dengan demikian, media Storybook Interaktif ini dinyatakan valid, praktis, dan efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan memahami pola kalimat sederhana peserta didik kelas III Sekolah dasar.

The ability to understand simple sentence patterns is an important basic competency for third-grade elementary school students as a foundation for language skills. However, in reality, many students still have difficulty understanding basic sentence patterns as a basis for constructing SPO and SPOK sentences due to the limited availability of appropriate learning media. This study aims to develop a valid, practical, and effective interactive Storybook medium to enhance third-grade elementary school students' ability to understand simple sentence patterns. This is a development study using the ADDIE model, which consists of analyze, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research subjects consisted of 24 students in class IIIC of SDN Pacarkeling I/182. Data collection instruments included expert validation sheets for content and media, as well as the distribution of response questionnaires to educators and students. Expert validation results indicated that the media falls into the “highly valid” category, with content validation and media validation percentages at 94%. Based on the questionnaires from educators and students, the pilot test showed a “very high” level of practicality for the media, with percentages of 96% and 98%, respectively. The effectiveness of the media was proven through an increase in students' understanding from pre-test and post-test results, with an average N-Gain score of 0.75 for 24 students, where (0.75 ≥ 0.7) indicates the “high” category. Thus, this interactive Storybook medium is deemed valid, practical, and effective in enhancing students' ability to understand simple sentence patterns in third-grade elementary school.
