Program Transisi di SMK Negeri 8 Surabaya masih kurang dalam mempersiapkan siswa tunarungu dalam menghadapi kehidupan secara mandiri untuk mencari pekerjaan atau melanjutkan ke perguruan tinggi setelah lulus sekolah. Peneliti bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan, kendala, dan solusi di dalam Program Transisi sebagai suatu cara program penyiapan siswa.
Metode penelitian yang dilakukan melalui pendekatan secara kualitatif deskriptif dengan rancangan penelitian metode triangulasi. Data dan sumber data penelitian dilakukan di lokasi SMK Negeri 8 Surabaya sebagai sekolah inklusi, dengan subyek penelitian terdiri dari kepala sekolah, koordinator inklusi dan guru pendamping khusus, lalu teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Instrumen penelitian dalam penelitian kualitatif deskriptif menjadikan peneliti itu sendiri menjadi intrumenya. Uji kesahihan instrumen dan data dilakukan pemeriksaan dengan membandingkan berbagai sumber, metode atau teori. Uji keabsahan data yang digunakan melalui triangulasi sumber dan triangulasi metode. Teknik analisa yang di gunakan melalui analisis studi pendahuluan dan analisis di lapangan Model Miles and Huberman.
Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh dari program transisi di SMK Negeri 8 Surabaya ditemukan 3 komponen dalam mencapai keberhasilan praktek program transisi, yaitu: 1) Pelaksanaan program transisi melalui program kemandirian, program vokasional skill, program soft skill, program kewirausahaan, dan kerjasama dengan lembaga lain, 2) Kendala program transisi di SMK Negeri 8 Surabaya, 3) Solusi dari kendala program transisi. Kesimpulan dalam program transisi bagi siswa tunarungu yang dilaksanakan oleh guru pendamping khusus dan pihak yang berkaitan, berkoordinasi dan mengevaluasi setiap proses program transisi bagi siswa tunarungu yang bisa di kembangkan lagi sesuai dengan kebutuhan siswa.

Transition program in SMK (Vocational high School) Negeri 8 Surabayas still less in preparation for deaf students in face of life in self-supporting for finding work or continue to college after pass school. Researcher bent on be for describe it execution, constraint, and solution in transition program as a way of student preparation program.
Research Method that conducted pass by approach in qualitative descriptive with research design method of triangulation. Data and source of research data are conducted in location SMK Negeri 8 Surabayas as the inklusi school, with subyek research consist of headmaster, coordinator inklusi and special partner teacher, last data collecting technique uses observation technique, interview, and documentation. Research Instrument in research qualitative descriptive make itself researcher becomes the instrument. Validity test instrument and data are inspected by compare to several of sources, method or theory. Test of data validity that used by pass by source triangulation and method triangulation. Technique of analysis that use pass by analysis of introduction study and analysis at the site Model Miles and Huberman.
Research Result that obtained/got from transition program in SMK Negeri 8 Surabayas are found 3 components in achieving successfullness of transition program ce, that is: 1) Execution of transition program pass by independence program, program vokasional skill, program soft skill, entrepreneurship program, and cooperation by other institute, 2) Constraint of transition program in SMK Negeri 8 Surabayas, 3) Solution from constraint of transition program. Conclusion in transition program for deaf student that executed by special partner teacher and interconnected party, coordination and evaluation of every process of transition program for student tunarungu that can develop next to the needs of student.
