VokaBea : Penentuan Penerima Beasiswa Untuk Mahasiswa Fakultas Vokasi Menggunakan Metode SAW

VokaBea: Determining Scholarship Recipients for Vocational Faculty Students Using the SAW Method

Proses penentuan penerima beasiswa masih menghadapi permasalahan dalam ketepatan sasaran karena proses seleksi yang dilakukan secara manual dan belum terstruktur dengan baik. Kondisi tersebut berpotensi menimbulkan subjektivitas dalam penilaian serta kurang optimal nya penyaluran beasiswa kepada mahasiswa yang benar-benar layak dan membutuhkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan membangun sistem pendukung keputusan berbasis website bernama VokaBea (Vokasi Beasiswa) dengan menerapkan metode Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) guna membantu proses penentuan penerima beasiswa secara lebih objektif, transparan, dan akurat. Metode SAW digunakan dengan melakukan penjumlahan terbobot terhadap setiap alternatif berdasarkan kriteria-kriteria yang telah ditentukan berdasarkan hasil wawancara dengan pihak penyelenggara beasiswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem berhasil dirancang dan diimplementasikan dengan baik serta dapat berjalan dengan lancar sesuai kebutuhan pengguna. Perhitungan metode SAW pada sistem juga berhasil dilakukan secara otomatis dan mampu membantu proses penentuan mahasiswa Fakultas Vokasi Universitas Negeri Surabaya yang berhak menerima beasiswa secara lebih efektif dan efisien. Selain itu, sistem dapat memberikan rekomendasi penerima beasiswa berdasarkan hasil perangkingan sesuai nilai akhir yang diperoleh masing-masing mahasiswa. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian, hasil perhitungan manual dan hasil perhitungan pada sistem menunjukkan tingkat kesesuaian sebesar 100%, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa implementasi metode SAW pada sistem telah berjalan dengan akurat sesuai dengan perhitungan yang dilakukan secara manual. Dengan adanya sistem VokaBea, proses seleksi penerima beasiswa diharapkan dapat dilakukan secara lebih tepat sasaran, terstruktur, dan efisien.

The process of determining scholarship recipients still faces challenges in ensuring accurate targeting due to the selection process being conducted manually and lacking a well-structured system. This condition has the potential to create subjectivity in the assessment process and results in less optimal scholarship distribution to students who are truly eligible and in need. This study aims to design and develop a website-based decision support system called VokaBea (Vokasi Beasiswa) by implementing the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method to support the scholarship recipient selection process in a more objective, transparent, and accurate manner. The SAW method is applied by calculating weighted sums for each alternative based on predetermined criteria obtained through interviews with scholarship organizers. The results of this study indicate that the system was successfully designed and implemented and is able to operate properly according to user requirements. The implementation of the SAW method in the system was also successfully automated and capable of assisting the process of determining eligible scholarship recipients among students of the Faculty of Vocational Studies, State University of Surabaya, in a more effective and efficient way. In addition, the system can provide scholarship recipient recommendations based on ranking results according to the final scores obtained by each student. Based on the testing results, the manual calculation results and the system calculation results showed a 100% level of conformity, indicating that the implementation of the SAW method in the system has been carried out accurately in accordance with the manual calculations. With the implementation of the VokaBea system, the scholarship selection process is expected to become more targeted, structured, and efficient.
