Populasi mahasiswa dengan rentang usia 18 – 25 tahun di Perguruan Tinggi saat ini di dominasi generasi Z. Gen Z memiliki ciri sebagai generasi yang mudah bosan, menyukai sesuatu yang instan dan multitasking. Selanjutnya, communication skill ialah soft skill yang wajib dimiliki oleh generasi Z termasuk mahasiswa yang sedang berproses di perguruan tinggi. Fakta lain yang menjadi sorotan adalah self regulated learningmahasiswa yang rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan learning material berbasis microlearing untuk membelajarkan communication skilll dan self regulated learning mahasiswa.
Pengembangan learning material berbasis microlearning menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE. Model pengembangan ini terdiri dari 5 tahapan dengan 21 langkah. Subject uji coba melibatkan 90 mahasiswa program studi S1 Teknologi Pendidikan UNESA. Instrumen mengukur kelayakan produk menggunakan angket. Uji efektifitas dilakukan melalui implemtasi learning material berbasis microlearning dan hasilnya dianalisis dengan uji t.
Hasil penelitian pengembangan ini meliputi 1) learning material berbasis microlearning yang dikembangkan layak digunakan untuk membelajarkan communication skill dan self regualted learning mahasiswa pada mata kuliah Dasar Teknologi Pendidikan; 2) perkuliahan dengam learning material berbasisi microlearning efektif dalam membelajarkan communication skill mahasiswa yang dibuktikan dengan hasil uji-t yaitu Sig. (two-sided p) sebesar < 0.01; 3) perkuliahan dengam learning material berbasis microlearning efektif dalam membelajarkan self regulated learning mahasiswa yang dibuktikan dengan hasil uji-t yaitu Sig. (two-sided p) sebesar < 0.001.
The student population with an age range of 18 – 25 years in higher education is currently dominated by generation Z. Gen Z is characterized as a generation that gets bored easily, likes something instant and multitasking. Furthermore, communication skills are soft skills that must be possessed by generation Z, including students who are in the process of college. Another fact that is highlighted is the low self-regulated learning of students. This research aims to develop microlearing-based learning materials to learn communication skills and self-regulated learning for students.
The development of microlearning-based learning materials uses the ADDIE development model. This development model consists of 5 stages with 21 steps. The subject of the trial involved 90 students of the UNESA S1 Educational Technology study program. The instrument measures the eligibility of the product using a questionnaire. The effectiveness test was carried out through the implementation of microlearning-based material learning and the results were analyzed by t-test.
The results of this development research include 1) Microlearning-based learning materials developed are suitable for learning communication skills and self-regualted learning of students in the Basic Educational Technology course; 2) lectures with microlearning-based learning materials are effective in learning communication skills students as evidenced by the results of the t-test, namely Sig. (two-sided p) of < 0.001; 3) Lectures with microlearning-based learning materials are effective in learning self-regulated learning of students, as evidenced by the results of the t-test, namely Sig. (two-sided p) of < 0.001.
