Tantangan abad 21 dan revolusi industri 4.0 mengharuskan adanya perubahan-perubahan di segala aspek kehidupan. Tidak tekecuali dalam bidang pendidikan, seiring lajunya perkembangan IPTEK memicu transformasi pendidikan abad 21 yang tidak lepas dari peran teknologi pada pelaksanaan pembelajaran sebagai tuntutan yang harus dilaksanakan oleh setiap lembaga pendidikan khususnya di Indonesia. Pemanfaatan teknologi tepat guna perlu diperhatikan supaya pendidikan di tanah air dapat bersaing secara global dalam mencetak sumber daya manusia yang berkualitas. Sumber daya manusia yang berkualitas dapat dibentuk dengan mencetak pelajar yang tidak buta akan teknologi. Tentu peran teknologi dapat digunakan saat pembelajaran yang terintegrasi pada penggunaan media pembelajaran. Berdasarkan serangkaian observasi dan wawancara yang dilakukan di SDN Tanah Kalikedinding II/252 Surabaya, Kecamatan Kenjeran, Kota Surabaya, dalam pembelajaran guru menggunakan metode ceramah serta pemanfaatan media berupa video pembelajaran yang di unduh guru melalui YouTube. Pengembangan media interaktif berbasis aplikasi digital bertujuan untuk memberikan kesempatan peserta didik aktif dalam pembelajaran IPS materi peta. Dan memberikan variasi media berbasis aplikasi digital untuk digunakan pada saat proses kegiatan belajar mengajar. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian Research and Development dengan model penelitian yang digunakan yaitu ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implement, Evaluation) berfokus menghasilkan produk berupa media interaktif serta menguji kevalidan, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan produk. Penelitian ini menghasilkan produk akhir berupa media interaktif berbasis aplikasi digital. Kevalidan produk yang dihasilkan mendapat penilaian oleh ahli materi sebesar 96,25% dan 80% oleh ahli media dan dinyatakan valid, kepraktisan mendapat penilaian sebesar 95,3% oleh peserta didik sebagai responden dan dinyatakan praktis, dan keefektifan produk mencapai 0,7729% dinyatakan efektif.
The challenges of the 21st century and the industrial revolution 4.0 require changes in all aspects of life. No exception in the field of education, as the rapid development of science and technology triggers the transformation of 21st century education which cannot be separated from the role of technology in the implementation of learning as a demand that must be implemented by every educational institution, especially in Indonesia. The utilization of appropriate technology needs to be considered so that education in the country can compete globally in producing quality human resources. Quality human resources can be formed by producing students who are not blind to technology. Of course, the role of technology can be used during learning which is integrated into the use of learning media. Based on a series of observations and interviews conducted at SDN Tanah Kalikedinding II/252 Surabaya, Kenjeran District, Surabaya City, in learning the teacher uses the lecture method and the use of media in the form of learning videos that the teacher downloads via YouTube. The development of interactive media based on digital applications aims to provide opportunities for active students in learning IPS map material. And provide a variety of digital application-based media to be used during the teaching and learning process. This research uses a type of Research and Development research with the research model used, namely ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implement, Evaluation) focusing on producing products in the form of interactive media and testing the validity, practicality, effectiveness of the product. This research produces a final product in the form of interactive media based on digital applications. The validity of the resulting product received an assessment by material experts of 96.25% and 80% by media experts and was declared valid, the practicality of the product received an assessment of 95.3% by students as respondents and was declared practical, and the effectiveness of the product reached 0.7729% declared effective.
