KONTRIBUSI KEKUATAN OTOT LENGAN DAN KELENTUKAN PERGELANGAN TANGAN SERTA KECEPATAN TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN DRIBBLING PADA SISWA EKSTRAKURIKULER BOLA BASKET

Kemampuan teknik dasar yang diperlukan dalam permainan bola basket mencakup passing, shooting, dribbling, rebound, pivot, pertahanan (defense), serangan (offense), serta beberapa jenis pergerakan tanpa bola. Dribbling merupakan teknik penting dan wajib dikuasi oleh setiap pemain bola basket. Dribbling digunakan untuk mengontrol bola dan mencegahnya direbut oleh lawan. Dalam melaksanakan teknik dasar dribbling, diperlukan kemampuan fisik yang optimal, termasuk kekuatan otot lengan, kelentukan pergelangan tangan serta kecepatan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui nilai sumbangan dari kekuatan otot lengan, kelentukan pergelangan tangan serta kecepatan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa beberapa variabel bebas berkontribusi terhadap kemampuan dribbling siswa ekstrakurikuler bola basket di SMP Negeri 2 Tulungagung. Dimana kekuatan otot lengan memberikan kontribusi sebesar 39%, kelentukan pergelangan tangan memiliki kontribusi yang lebih tinggi, yakni sebesar 47,2%, dan kecepatan juga memberikan kontribusi yang signifikan, mencapai 34,1% terhadap kemampuan dribbling siswa.

The basic technical skills required in a basketball game include passing, shooting, dribbling, rebounding, pivoting, defense, offense, and several types of movements without the ball. Dribbling is an important technique and must be mastered by every basketball player. Dribbling is used to control the ball and prevent it from being snatched by the opponent. In carrying out basic dribbling techniques, optimal physical abilities are required, including arm muscle strength, wrist flexion and speed. The purpose of this study is to find out the contribution value of arm muscle strength, wrist flexion and speed. This study uses a descriptive method.
The results of the study showed that several independent variables contributed to the dribbling ability of basketball extracurricular students at SMP Negeri 2 Tulungagung. Where arm muscle strength contributed by 39%, wrist flexion had a higher contribution, namely by 47.2%, and speed also contributed significantly, reaching 34.1% to students' dribbling ability.
