Penelitian awal dilakukan di dua sekolah yaitu SDN Kemayoran 2 dan SDN Sidotopo 1 di Surabaya siswa yang diamati adalah peserta didik kelas 3 Penelitian dilaksanakan selama 3 bulan di sekolah tersebut untuk mengetahui proses Pengembangan Model Peningkatan Kreativitas Siswa SD Melalui Pembelajaran Prakarya Buku Saku dan untuk mengetahui kualitas buku saku sebagai model media yang sesuai dan Mendeskripsikan keefektifannya dalam meningkatkan Kreativitas Siswa Melalui Pembelajaran Prakarya di sekolah
Metode yang di gunakan dalam penelitian pengembangan 4D yang di kembangkan oleh thiagarajan, dkk melalui empat tahapan 4D Pendefinisian Perancangan Pengembangan dan Penyebaran 1 Tahap Pendefinisian dilakukan Tes Kebutuhan siswa dengan instrumen angket untuk siswa 2 Tahap Perancangan meliputi desain awal dari media yang sesuai untuk memenuhi kebutuhan siswa dan media bahan ajar sekolah dalam materi prakarya Draf I model media buku saku 3 Tahap Pengembangan meliputi revisi dan validasi menghasilkan Draf II Draf II di uji di sekolah A melalui uji terbatas dan divalidasi kembali kepada validator ahli menghasilkan Draf III Draf III merupakan produk media buku saku yang di rasa cukup sesuai untuk memenuhi kebutuhan siswa dan sekolah Teknik pengumpulan data berupa dokumentasi observasi angket tes dan wawancara Untuk teknik analisa data menggunakan analisa Deskriptif Kualitatif dan Deskriptif Kuantitatif Teknik analisa Deskiptif Kualitatif berdasarkan analisa terhadap proses pengembangan model buku saku. Untuk data hasil angket para validator angket siswa dan analisa data dalam pengembangan model buku saku menggunakan teknik analisa Deskriptif Kuantitatif
Hasil penelitian Pengembangan media buku saku menyatakan media Pengembangan buku saku Melalui Pembelajaran Prakarya sangat menarik ditinjau dari pemanfaatan materi Instruksinya siswa menyatakan Pengembangan Model Pembelajaran Prakarya Buku Saku pada kemenarikan Instruksi soal sangat menarik, sedangkan ditinjau dari daya tarik materi siswa menyatakan sangat menarik Sehingga Media Pembelajaran Buku Saku menarik untuk siswa dan bermanfaat untuk digunakan di Sekolah Dasar
