ABSTRAK

Cerita rakyat Kediri sebagai bagian dari karya sastra lisan pasti mengandung sistem proyeksi keadaan dan tata krama masyarakat pendukungnya. Hal tersebut menumbuhkan citra masyarakat pendukungnya (masyarakat Kediri) yang berasal dari ketidaksadaran kolektif yang isi-isi fisiknya diwariskan dan diteruskan dari satu generasi ke generasi selanjutnya sebagai potensi psikis yang disebut arketip dan sebagai sastra lisan pasti memiliki fungsi yang berguna bagi kehidupan. Citra masyarakat dan macam-macam fungsi folkloris tersebut bisa diteliti agar bisa dipahami makna dan peran untuk masyarakat pendukungnya dengan benar.

Hal yang akan dibahas atau rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini yaitu (1) Apa saja arketip yang terdapat dalam cerita rakyat di Kabupaten Kediri, (2) Apa saja fungsi folkloris dalam cerita rakyat di Kabupaten Kediri untuk masyarakat pendukungnya. Berdasarkan rumusan masalah tersebut, maka tujuan penelitian ini yaitu (1) menjelaskan arketip yang terdapat dalam cerita rakyat di Kabupaten Kediri, (2) menjelaskan fungsi folkloris dalam cerita rakyat di Kabupaten Kediri untuk masyarakat pendukungnya. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif. Sumber data yaitu antologi Crita Rakyat Kediri Jawa Timur oleh Suharmono Kasiyun. Data dalam penelitian berupa kata dan wacana dalam wujud kutipan atau cuplikan-cuplikan, serta paragraf yang memiliki hubungan dengan rumusan masalah.

Berdasarkan rumusan penelitian, hasil dari penelitian ini ada dua. Hasil yang pertama yaitu macam-macam wujud arketip dalam cerita rakyat di Kabupaten Kediri. Arketip tersebut antara lain yaitu arketip persona, bayang-bayang, anima dan animus, lelaki tua bijaksana, ibu agung, pahlawan, dan diri. Arketip yang berhasil ditemukan berupa figur arketipal, situasi arketipal yang ditunjukkan dengan adanya kejadian yang penting, dan ada yang berupa imaji arketipal yang ditunjukkan oleh lambang-lambang. Hasil penelitian kedua yaitu fungsi folkloris dalam cerita rakyat di Kabupaten Kediri. Fungsi tersebut antara lain yaitu fungsi cerita rakyat sebagai sistem proyeksi, untuk pengesahan kebudayaan, sebagai alat pemaksa berlakunya norma-norma sosial dan sebagai alat pengendali sosial, dan alat pendidikan anak.

ABSTRACT

Kediri folklore as part of oral literary works must contain a projection system of the conditions and manners of the supporting community. This fosters the image of the supporting community (the Kediri people) stemming from the collective unconscious whose physical contents are inherited and passed on from one generation to the next as psychological potentials called archetypes and as oral literature must have a useful function for life. The public image and various folklore functions can be investigated so that the meaning and role of the supporting community can be understood correctly.

Things to be discussed or problem formulation in this research are (1) What are the archetypes contained in folklore in Kediri Regency, (2) What are the folkloris functions in folklore in Kediri Regency for the supporting community. Based on the formulation of the problem, the purpose of this study are (1) to explain the archetypes contained in folklore in Kediri Regency, (2) to explain the folkloris function in folklore in Kediri Regency for the supporting community. This research is a qualitative research. The data source is the anthology of Crita Rakyat Kediri Jawa Timur by Suharmono Kasiyun. The data in this research are words and discourse in the form of quotes or excerpts, as well as paragraphs that have a relationship with the formulation of the problem.
Based on the research formulation, the results of this study are twofold. The first result is various forms of architects in folklore in Kediri Regency. The archetypes include persona archetypes, shadows, anima and animus, wise old men, great mothers, heroes, and self. Archives that have been found are in the form of archetypal figures, archetypal situations indicated by important events, and some in the form of archetypal images indicated by symbols. The second research result is the folkloris function in folklore in Kediri Regency. These functions include the function of folklore as a projection system, for cultural endorsement, as a means of enforcing social norms and as a means of social control, and a tool for children's education.
