Novel Putri Rajaptni karya Putu Felisia secara khusus menggambarkan kehidupan sosok Gayatri Rajapatni, istri Raden Wijaya sekaligus salah satu penguasa Kerajaan Majapahit dan secara umum menggambarkan kehidupan masyarakat di era Kerajaan Majapahit. Novel ini menarik untuk diteliti dengan menggunakan tinjauan feminisme liberal yang akan diulas oleh peneliti. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peranan Gayatri Rajapatni sebagai seorang perempuan yang direpresentasikan dalam novel Putri Rajapatni yang dikaitkan dengan teori feminisme liberal. Sumber data primer berasal dari novel Putri Rajapatni. Data penelitian merupakan kumpulan informasi yang diperoleh melalui novel Putri Rajapatni, yaitu berupa kumpulan kata, kIausa, kalimat, atau penggalan paragraf yang menerangkan unsur-unsur intrinsik yang terkandung dalam novel. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menerapkan teknik baca catat dan riset kepustakaan. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini meliputi teknik analisis deskriptif dan content analysis atau “kajian isi” novel Putri Rajapatni karya Putu Felisia. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peranan Gayatri Rajapatni merepresentasikan perempuan yang dapat bekerja, perempuan yang dapat menjadi seorang berintelektual, perempuan yang bebas berpendapat, dan perempuan yang bebas untuk tampil beda.

The novel of Putri Rajapatni by Putu Felisia specifically describes the life of Gayatri Rajapatni, the wife of Raden Wijaya who is the rulers of the Majapahit Kingdom and in general the novel describes the life of the people during the Majapahit Kingdom. This novel is interesting to research by using a liberal feminism review which will be reviewed by the writer. The purpose of this research was to determine the role of Gayatri Rajapatni as a woman who represented in the novel of Putri Rajapatni which is associated by using liberal feminism theory. The primary data source is the novel Putri Rajapatni. Research data is a group of information was obtained from the novel of Putri Rajapatni, which is a group of words, clauses, sentences, or paragraphs that explain the intrinsic elements contained in the novel. This research used descriptive qualitative method. Data collection techniques were carried out by applying reading and writing techniques and library research. Data analysis techniques in this research included descriptive analysis techniques and content analysis or "content study" of Putu Felisia's Putri Rajapatni novel. The result of the research shows that the role of Gayatri Rajapatni represents women who can work, women who are knowledgeable, women who have freedom of opinion and women who are exempt to be different.
