Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh media video animasi terhadap kemampuan keaksaraan dan berpikir simbolik anak kelompok A di TK Aisyiyah Kecamatan Ngunut Tulungagung. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan desain quasi-eksperiment melalui pendekatan kuantitatif. Rancangan eksperimen yang digunakan adalah Nonrandomized Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Subyek penelitiannya anak kelompok A di TK Aisyiyah Kecamatan Ngunut Tulungagung, dengan jumlah 30 anak kelompok eksperimen dan 30 anak kelompok kontrol. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian menggunakan statistik non parametrik uji Mann Whitney Test. Kesimpulan dari hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) ada pengaruh media video animasi terhadap kemampuan keaksaraan anak kelompok A di TK Aisyiyah Kecamatan Ngunut Tulungagung, secara statistik Z = -5.483 dengan taraf signifikan sebesar 0.000 kurang dari 5%; (2) ada pengaruh media video animasi terhadap kemampuan berpikir simbolik anak kelompok A di TK Aisyiyah Kecamatan Ngunut Tulungagung, secara statistik Z = -4.427 dengan taraf signifikan sebesar 0.000 kurang dari 5%. Ini menunjukkan ada pengaruh media video animasi terhadap kemampuan keaksaraan dan berpikir simbolik anak kelompok A. Pemberian media video animasi lebih membuat anak tertarik untuk belajar keaksaraan dan berpikir simbolik yang dapat meningkatkan kemampuan keaksaraan dan berpikir simbolik anak. Media video animasi dapat dijadikan salah satu intervensi untuk anak TK Kelompok A dalam meningkatkan kemampuan keaksaraan dan berpikir simbolik.

This study aims to determine the effect of animated video media based on children's literacy and symbolic thinking skill in grade A student at Aisyiyah Kindergarten, District of Ngunut, Tulungagung. This research was conducted using a quasi-experimental design through a quantitative approach. The experimental design that used is Nonrandomized Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The research subjects were children from group A student at Aisyiyah Kindergarten, District of Ngunut, Tulungagung, with a total of 30 children in the experimental group and 30 children in the control group. The data analysis technique in this study used non-parametric statistics from the Mann Whitney Test. The conclusion of the research shows that (1) There is an effect of animated video media based on children's literacy in grade A student at Aisyiyah Kindergarten, District of Ngunut, Tulungagung, statistically Z = -5.483 with a significant level of 0.000 less than 5%; (2) There is an effecteffect of animated video media based on children's symbolic thinking skill in grade A student at Aisyiyah Kindergarten, District of Ngunut, Tulungagung, statistically Z = -4.427 with a significant level of 0.000 less than 5%. This shows that there is an effect of animated video media on literacy and symbolic thinking skills of group A kindergarten children. The provision of animated video media makes children more interested in learning literacy and symbolic thinking which can improve children's on literacy and symbolic thinking skill. Animated video media can be used as an intervention for Kindergarten Group A children to improve literacy and symbolic thinking skills.
