Karya sastra sebagai gambaran keadaan suatu masyarakat juga menggambarkan masalah-masalah didalam kehidupannya manusia. Masalah-masalah yang dihadapi manusia tersebut ternyata berhubungan dengan kejiwaannya manusia. Novel dengan judul Kori Wus Tinarbuka karya MM. Sri Haryanti, S.S ini terpilih jadi objek dalam penelitian ini, karena novel tersebut mempunyai bab yang menonjol di bagian psikologis, utamanya pada tokoh utamanya. Selain itu novel Kori Wus Tinarbuka ini juga menggambarkan tokoh utama yang melakukan proses aktualisasi diri, salah satunya proses untuk bisa mendapatkan pekerjaan  supaya bisa hidup sesuai dengan keinginannya. Maka teori kang sesuai untuk mengkaji bab psikologise tokoh utama digunakan pendekatan psikologi, utumanya psikologi humanistik Abraham Maslow.

Penelitian ini terdapat tiga rumusan masalah diantaranya yaitu wujud aktualisasi diri tokoh utama, bab yang mendorong aktualisasi diri tokoh utama, dan penghalang yang dihadapi oleh tokoh utama pada proses aktualisasi diri. Berdasarkan rumusan masalah tersebut, tujuan penelitian ini yaitu menjelaskan tentang wujud aktualisasi diri tokoh utama, bab yang mendorong aktualisasi diri, dan menjelaskan penghalang yang dihadapi oleh tokoh utama ketika proses aktualisasi diri dalam novel Kori Wus Tinarbuka. Sedangkan manfaat penelitian dengan praktis yaiku bisa memberikan rangsangan untuk panliti selanjutnya, juga untuk mengetahui karya sastra sehingga bisa memberi pengetahuan lebih luas mengenai bab psikologi humanistik Abraham Maslow.

Penelitian mengenai aktualisasi diri tokoh utama dalam novel Kori Wus Tinarbuka karya MM. Sri Haryanti, S.S ini termasuk penelitian kualitatif dengan menghasilkan data deskriptif berupa kata-kata yang tertulis atau percakapan dari tokoh-tokoh. Untuk mengkaji kejiwaanya tokoh utama, maka digunakan kajian yang sesuai, yaitu kajian psikologi sastra dengan pendekatan psikologi humanistik berdasarkan teori kepribadian oleh Abraham Maslow. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini yaitu novel Kori Wus Tinarbuka dengan data hasil dari kegiatan membaca sumber data dengan tliti, mencari dan mencatat bagian-bagian dari penelitian yang dikaji, selanjutnya mengelompokkan data yang sesuai dengan rumusan masalah.

Hasil dari penelitian ini ditemukan tiga masalah, yang pertama yaitu wujud aktualisasi diri, wujud aktualisasi diri tokoh utama dalam novel Kori Wus Tinarbuka ditemukan enam ciri-ciri dari 15 ciri orang yang melakukan proses aktualisasi dhiri yang dijelaskan oleh Maslow. Enam ciri-ciri tersebut diantaranya yaitu (1) Menerima, (2) Mandiri, (3) Sederhana, (4) Memiliki perhatian sosial (5) kebutuhan privasi lan (6)Kreatif. Kedua, bab yang mendorong aktualisasi tersebut, dan yang ketiga tentang penghalang yang dihadapi tokoh utama, ada dua pepalang yang bisa diambil dari penelitian dalam novel Kori Wus Tinarbuka karya MM. Sri Haryanti, S.S

Literature work as a portrait of a society condition also illustrates the problems in its human life. The problems that faced by humans are apparently related to human psychology. Novel entitled Kori Wus Tinarbuka written by MM. Sri Haryanti, S.S was chosen to be the object of this study, since the novel has a noticeable chapter in the psychological section, particularly on its main character. Furthermore, Kori Wus Tinarbuka novel also represents the main character who performs a process of self-actualization, which is the process of being able to get a job so that he can life as he wished. Therfore, theory that is considered appropriate to explore the psychology issue of the main character is psychological approach, spesifically humanistic psychology by Abraham Maslow.

There are three research questions in this research, they are self-actualization form of the main character, chapter that encourages self-actualization of the main character, and the obstacles faced by the main character in the process of self-actualization. Based on the research questions presented previously, the purpose of this study is to explain self-actualization form of the main character, the chapter that encourages self-actualization, and the obstacles faced by the main character during the process of self-actualization in Kori Wus Tinarbuka novel. In addition, the practical significance of this study hopefully be able to stimulate the next researchers and to find out other literature works in order to broaden our knowledge about the humanistic psychology by Abraham Maslow.

Research on self-actualization of the main character in the novel Kori Wus Tinarbuka written by MM. Sri Haryanti, S.S. used qualitative research to reveal descriptive data in form of written words or conversations from the characters. in order to explore the main character's psychological issue, this study applied appropriate theory namely study of literature psychology with a humanistic psychology approach based on personality theory by Abraham Maslow. The data source in this study is Kori Wus Tinarbuka novel that was collected through reading the data sources carefully, finding out and taking a note the parts of the study that being researched, then grouping the data according to the research questions.

According to the results of the study, there are three problems found. the first one is self-actualization form. Self-actualization form of the main character in Kori Wus Tinarbuka novel consists six characteristics out of 15 characteristics of people who succeed the actualization process which is explained by Maslow. The six characteristics include (1) Receiving, (2) Independence, (3) Simple, (4) Having social attention (5) privacy needs and (6) Creativity. The second one is the chapter that encourages the actualization, and the third one is the difficulties faced by the main character spesifically there are two obstacles that can be revealed from the research of Kori Wus Tinarbuka novel written Sri Haryanti, S.S
