ANALISIS KEMAMPUAN DAN DISPOSISI BERPIKIR REFLEKTIF MATEMATIS SISWA DITINJAU DARI PERBEDAAN JENIS KELAMIN
ANALYSIS OF STUDENTS' MATHEMATICAL REFLECTIVE THINKING ABILITY AND DISPOSITION IN TERMS OF GENDER DIFFERENCES
Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif, yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan berpikir reflektif siswa dalam matematika beserta disposisi atau sikap yang muncul, ditinjau dari perbedaan jenis kelaminnya. Subjek dalam penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri di Pasuruan. Subjek dipilih 2 siswa dari masing-masing jenis kelamin dengan syarat nilai tes kemampuan berpikir reflektif matematis yang tertinggi dan jawaban yang lebih lengkap. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu tes kemampuan berpikir reflektif matematis, skala disposisi berpikir reflektif matematis dan pedoman wawancara. Penelitian ini diawali dengan siswa mengerjakan tes kemampuan berpikir reflektif matematis dan skala disposisi berpikir reflektif matematis. Kemudian dilakukan wawancara mendalam kepada subjek terpilih. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa berjenis kelamin laki-laki memenuhi tiga fase berpikir reflektif yaitu reacting, comparing dan Contemplating. Sedangkan siswa berjenis kelamin perempuan hanya memenuhi fase reacting dan comparing. Sehingga dalam hal ini, kemampuan berpikir reflektif matematis siswa berjenis kelamin laki-laki tergolong sudah mampu sedangkan siswa berjenis kelamin perempuan tergolong kurang mampu. Kemudian, untuk disposisi berpikir reflektif matematisnya sama-sama tergolong cukup. Dari hasil tersebut, diperoleh hubungan negatif antara kemampuan berpikir reflektif matematis siswa dengan disposisi atau sikap yang muncul yang ditinjau dari perbedaan jenis kelaminnya. Dimana kemampuan siswa yang baik, tidak menjamin disposisi atau sikap yang muncul juga baik, maupun kebalikannya.

This study used a qualitative descriptive research design, which aims to describe students' reflective thinking ability in mathematics and their emerging dispositions or attitudes, in terms of gender differences. The subjects in this study were eighth-grade students of junior high school in Pasuruan. The selected subjects were 2 students from each gender with the condition that the highest mathematical reflective thinking ability test scores and the answers were more complete. The instruments used were a mathematical reflective thinking ability test, a mathematical reflective thinking disposition scale, and an interview guide. This research began with the students doing a mathematical reflective thinking ability test and a mathematical reflective thinking disposition scale. After that, conducted in-depth interviews with the selected subjects. The results showed that male students fulfilled three phases of reflective thinking, namely reacting, comparing, and Contemplating. Meanwhile, female students only fulfilled the reacting and comparison phases. Accordingly, the mathematical reflective thinking ability of male students is classified as capable while female students are classified as less capable. Then, the mathematical reflective thinking disposition from both of them is equally sufficient. From these results, it was obtained a negative relationship between students' mathematical reflective thinking ability and the dispositions or attitudes that emerged in terms of gender differences, in which good students' ability does not guarantee that the dispositions or attitudes that appear are also good, or vice versa.
