ABSTRAK
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menghasilkan produk media topeng karakter dan mengetahui hasil pengembangan media topeng karakter yang ditinjau dari tingkat kevalidan media, tingkat kevalidan materi, serta keefektifan dan kepraktisan media pada materi bercerita dongeng untuk kelas III sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menerapkan model pengembangan ADDIE, pengembangan tersebut melalui lima tahapan yaitu menganalisis, perancangan, pengembangan, penerapan, dan mengevaluasi. Dalam proses penelitian menggunakan instrumen penelitian, lembar validasi materi, lembar validasi media, penilaian angket yang diberikan kepada guru kelas III dan siswa kelas III sekolah dasar, serta lembar penilaian keterampilan bercerita bagi siswa kelas III. Hasil dari analisis data menunjukkan nilai uji validasi media dengan skor 87% dan uji validasi materi dengan skor 84%. Berdasarkan perolehan skor tersebut maka media topeng karakter dan materi dinyatakan sangat valid. Hasil penilaian yang diperoleh dari angket menunjukkan skor 81,6% dengan kategori sangat efektif dan praktis, hasil penilaian keterampilan bercerita siswa mencapai kisaran nilai 61 sampai 80 menunjukkan bahwa media topeng karakter bisa digunakan oleh siswa dengan baik dan dapat meningkatkan keterampilan bercerita siswa.

ABSTRACT
The purpose of this research was to produce character mask media products and to find out the results of character mask media development in terms of media validity level, material validity level, as well as the effectiveness and practicality of media on fairy tale storytelling material for grade III elementary school. This study applies the ADDIE development model, the development goes through five stages, namely analyzing, designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating. In the research process using research instruments, material validation sheets, media validation sheets, assessment questionnaires given to third grade teachers and third grade elementary school students, as well as storytelling skills assessment sheets for third grade students. The results of the data analysis show the value of the media validation test with a score of 87% and the material validation test with a score of 84%. Based on the score obtained, the character and material mask media are declared very valid. The results of the assessment obtained from the questionnaire showed a score of 81.6% with a very effective and practical category, the results of the assessment of students' storytelling skills reached a value range of 61 to 80 indicating that the character mask media could be used by students well and could improve students' storytelling skills.
