MANAJEMEN PROGRAM EKSTRAKURIKULER DALAM MENGEMBANGKAN KARAKTER PESERTA DIDIK DI SKB KOTA SURABAYA
EXTRACURRICULAR PROGRAM MANAGEMENT IN DEVELOPING THE CHARACTER OF STUDENTS AT SKB CITY OF SURABAYA
Proses pembinaan peserta didik melalui program ekstrakurikuler mempunyai peranan penting dalam pengembangan karakter peserta didik. Hal ini dikarenakan program ekstrakurikuler merupakan wahana penyaluran bakat dan minat yang berfungsi untuk mengembangkan potensi, kemampuan, kepribadian, kerjasama, dan kemandirian peserta didik secara optimal dalam rangka mendukung pencapaian tujuan pendidikan. Fokus penyusunan tesis ini adalah adanya manajemen kegiatan ekstrakurikuler dalam pengembangan karakter peserta didik di SKB Negeri Kota Surabaya Tahun 2023/2024, yaitu: (1) mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis bagaimana perencanaan (planning), pengorganisasian (Organizing), pelaksanaan (Actuating), dan evaluasi (Evaluating) kegiatan ekstrakurikuler dalam mengembangkan karakter peserta didik di SKB Negeri Kota Surabaya.
Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif. Subyek penelitian ini adalah kepala SKB, waka kurikulum, waka pembinaan, Koordinator ekstrakurikuler, dan peserta didik. Metode pengumpulan data dengan wawancara mendalam (In-Depth Interview), observasi partisipatif, dan dokumentasi. Uji keabsahan data dengan triangulasi dan member check. Proses analisa data dilakukan kondensasi data, penyajian data, dan kesimpulan.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: Manajemen kegiatan ekstrakurikuler dalam pengembangan karakter peserta didik di SKB Negeri Kota Surabaya meliputi: pertama, perencanaan kegiatan ekstrakurikuler dalam pengembangan karakter peserta didik dilaksanakan dalam bentuk penyususan program kegiatan ekstrakurikuler yang selanjutnya dijadikan acuan dalam pelaksanaanya. perencanaan program ekstrakurikuler di SKB Kota Surabaya belum dicatat secara tertulis sehingga masih dikatakan belum baik. kedua, pengorganisasian kegiatan ekstrakurikuler dalam pengembangan karakter peserta didik secara keseluruhan terpadu dengan proses penentuan sumber daya, pembagian tugas, ditetapkan dengan SK Kepala SKB, membuat kesepakatan menanamkan nilai karakter melalui kegiatan rutin, keteladanan, tindakan spontan dan pengkondisian. ketiga, pelaksanaan kegiatan ekstrakurikuler dalam pengembangan karakter peserta didik dengan mengoptimalkan bakat dan minat peserta didik. Keempat, evaluasi kegiatan ekstrakurikuler dalam pengembangan karakter peserta didik dilaksanakan 1 sampai 2 kali tiap semester dan melibatkan seluruh pihak terkait.

The process of fostering students through extracurricular programs has an important role in developing the character of students. This is because the extracurricular program is a vehicle for channeling talents and interests that function to optimally develop the potential, abilities, personality, cooperation, and independence of students in order to support the achievement of educational goals. The focus of this Tesis is the management of extracurricular activities in developing the character of students at the 2023/2024 SKB Negeri Surabaya City, namely: (1) describing and analyzing how planning, organizing, actuating, and evaluating extracurricular activities in developing the character of students at SKB Negeri Surabaya City. (2) describe and analyze the supporting and inhibiting factors in the management of extracurricular activities in developing the character of students at the SKB Negeri Surabaya City.
This research is a qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The subjects of this study were the head of the SKB, deputy head of curriculum, deputy head of development, extracurricular coordinator, and students. Methods of data collection by in-depth interviews (In-Depth Interview), participatory observation, and documentation. Test the validity of the data with triangulation and member checks. The process of data analysis is done by condensing data, presenting data, and concluding.
The results showed: the management of extracurricular activities in developing the character of students at SKB Negeri Surabaya City includes: first, planning extracurricular activities in developing the character of students is carried out in the form of compiling extracurricular activity programs which are then used as a reference in their implementation. extracurricular program planning at Surabaya City SKB has not been recorded in writing so it is still said to be not good. second, the organization of extracurricular activities in the character development of students as a whole is integrated with the process of determining resources, division of tasks, determined by the Decree of the Head of the SKB, making agreements to instill character values through routine activities, exemplary, spontaneous action and conditioning. third, the implementation of extracurricular activities in developing the character of students by optimizing the talents and interests of students. Fourth, evaluation of extracurricular activities in developing students' character is carried out 1 to 2 times each semester and involves all related parties.
