THE INFLUENCE OF FINANCIAL LITERACY, FINANCIAL ATTITUDE, SOCIAL ENVIRONMENT, AND LIFESTYLE ON FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT BEHAVIOR OF GEN Z IN SIDOARJO
Gen Z sadar akan pentingnya financial management behavior seperti menabung dan berinvestasi, tapi masih banyak yang belum bisa menjalankannya dengan baik, disebabkan karena saat ini terdapat tren prinsip hidup pada gen Z yaitu You Only Live Once (YOLO) serta Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) yang nantinya akan mempengaruhi financial management behavior seseorang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh financial literacy, financial attitude, social environment, dan lifestyle terhadap financial management behavior gen Z di Sidoarjo. Penelitian ini berjenis kuantitatif dengan menggunakan sumber data yang berasal dari kuesioner online melalui gform. Populasi penelitian ini adalah gen z di Sidoarjo, lalu diambil sampel berjumlah 200 responden menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik analisis yang digunakan yaitu analisis Regresi Linier Berganda dengan menggunakan SPSS versi 26. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Financial literacy berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap financial management behavior gen Z dikarenakan mereka secara aktif berupaya menabung dengan tujuan untuk memiliki dana cadangan, Financial attitude berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap financial management behavior gen Z dikarenakan mereka sadar pentingnya mengalokasikan sebagian pendapatan untuk disimpan sebagai investasi jangka panjang, Social environment berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap financial management behavior gen Z dikarenakan mereka tidak mudah terpengaruh oleh promosi yang beredar di media sosial, dan Lifestyle berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap financial management behavior gen Z dikarenakan mereka cenderung membuat keputusan pembelian yang diinformasikan dengan baik. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa gen Z di Sidoarjo dapat terus meningkatkan financial literacy, financial attitude, social environment dan tidak terpengaruh dengan lifestyle konsumtif.
Gen Z is aware of the importance of financial management behavior such as saving and investing, but there are still many who cannot carry it out properly, because currently there is a trend of life principles in gen Z, namely You Only Live Once (YOLO) and Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) which will affect a person's financial management behavior. This study aims to analyze the influence of financial literacy, financial attitude, social environment, and lifestyle on financial management behavior of gen Z in Sidoarjo. This research is quantitative using data sources derived from online questionnaires through gform. The population of this study was gen z in Sidoarjo, then a sample of 200 respondents was taken using purposive sampling technique. The analysis technique used is Multiple Linear Regression analysis using SPSS version 26. The results of this study indicate that Financial literacy has a positive and significant effect on financial management behavior of gen Z because they actively try to save with the aim of having a reserve fund, Financial attitude has a positive and significant effect on financial management behavior of gen Z because they are aware of the importance of allocating part of their income to be saved as a long-term investment, Social environment has a positive and significant effect on financial management behavior of gen Z because they are not easily influenced by promotions circulating on social media, and Lifestyle has a positive and significant effect on financial management behavior of gen Z because they tend to make well-informed purchasing decisions. This shows that gen Z in Sidoarjo can continue to improve financial literacy, financial attitude, social environment and not be influenced by a consumptive lifestyle.
