REPRESENTASI FIGUR AYAH DALAM KEHIDUPAN KELUARGA SEBAGAI IDE PENCIPTAAN KARYA

THE REPRESENTATION OF THE FATHER FIGURE IN FAMILY LIFE AS AN IDEA FOR ARTISTIC CREATION

Penelitian penciptaan ini mengangkat tema representasi figur ayah dalam kehidupan keluarga sebagai ide penciptaan karya seni lukis. Figur ayah dipahami sebagai sosok sentral dalam keluarga yang memiliki peran sebagai pemimpin, pelindung, dan pendamping emosional. Pengalaman pribadi perupa menjadi dasar dalam memvisualisasikan nilai tanggung jawab, kasih sayang, serta dinamika hubungan ayah dalam kehidupan keluarga. Metode penciptaan yang digunakan adalah Practice-led Research dengan tahapan persiapan, mengimajinasi, pengembangan, dan perwujudan karya. Karya seni diwujudkan menggunakan media cat akrilik di atas kanvas dengan gaya realis imajinasi. Penelitian penciptaan ini menghasilkan lima karya seni lukis yang merepresentasikan figur ayah dalam kehidupan keluarga secara realistis dan imajinatif.

Hasil karya diharapkan dapat menjadi media apresiasi seni sekaligus refleksi visual mengenai peran figur ayah dalam membangun keharmonisan keluarga di era modern.

This practice-based research explores the representation of the father figure in family life as an idea for the creation of painting artworks. The father figure is understood as a central figure in the family who plays roles as a leader, protector, and emotional companion. The artist’s personal experiences serve as the conceptual foundation for visualizing values of responsibility, affection, and the dynamics of the father’s role within family life.

The method applied in this artistic creation is Practice-led Research, consisting of the stages of preparation, imagination, development, and realization of the artworks. The works are created using acrylic paint on canvas with an imaginative realism style approach.

This research results in five painting artworks that represent the father figure in family life in both realistic and imaginative manners. The artworks are expected to function as a medium for artistic appreciation as well as a visual reflection on the role of the father figure in building family harmony in the modern era.
