ESKPLORASI BUNGA FUSCHIA MENGGUNAKAN TEKNIK RUFFLE DAN CORDING PADA BUSANA PESTA

FUSCHIA FLOWER EXPLORATION USING RUFFLE AND CORDING TECHNIQUES ON PARTY WEAR

Fuchsia merupakan bunga dengan bentuk unik seperti “Anting India” dan keindahan warna yang kontras serta dua pola warna yang harmonis.  Tujuan penelitian adalah Pertama Mendeskripsikan proses eksplorasi bunga Fuchsia sebagai hiasan busana pesta. Kedua Mengetahui hasil eksplorasi bunga Fuchsia yang menerapkan Manipulating Fabric Ruffle dan Cording pada busana pesta. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan Double Diomond Model yang memiliki 4 tahap yaitu: Discover, tahap mengeskplorasi sumber inspirasi bunga Fuchsia, penentuan Manipulating Fabric yang dibuat untuk wanita dan pria muda dengan tipe anggun dan klasik. Define, tahap mengidentifikasi sumber ide dalam penyajian konsep Moodboard, dan pembuatan desain ilustrasi. Develop, tahap uji coba melaui prototipe, menciptakan busana dengan detail busana, menggunakan bahan yang tidak jauh berbeda tekstur dari bahan utama, setelah itu menerapkan Manipulating Fabric teknik Ruffle dan Cording. Deliver merupakan tahap penyampaian hasil dari uji coba, yang menunjukan bahwa membuat busana pesta tersebut perlu melihat teknik penerapan hiasan motif, menentukan warna dan siluet agar sesuai dengan konsep isnpirasi yang telah dibuat. Hasil penelitian berupa hasil jadi kesesuaian bentuk siluet Manipulating Fabric Ruffle dan Cording yang diterapkan pada busana pesta wanita dan pria, dengan menerapkan teknik tusuk tikan jejak dan tusuk balut, yang bersumber inspirasi bunga Fuchsia dan ditampilkan pada kegiatan gelar karya.

Fuchsia is a flower with a unique shape like "Indian Earrings" and the beauty of contrasting colors and two harmonious color patterns.  The research objectives were firstly to describe the exploration process of Fuchsia flower as a party fashion decoration. Secondly, to know the result of Fuchsia flower exploration that applied Manipulating Fabric Ruffle and Cording on party wear. This research method uses the Double Diomond Model which has 4 stages, namely: Discover, the stage of exploring the source of inspiration for Fuchsia flowers, determining Manipulating Fabric made for young women and men with elegant and classic types. Define, the stage of identifying the source of ideas in the presentation of the Moodboard concept, and making illustration designs. Develop, the stage of testing through prototypes, creating clothes with fashion details, using materials that are not much different in texture from the main material, after that applying Manipulating Fabric Ruffle and Cording techniques. Deliver is the stage of delivering the results of the trial, which shows that making party clothes needs to look at the technique of applying motif decoration, determining colors and silhouettes to match the concept of inspiration that has been made. The result of the research is the finished product of the Manipulating Fabric Ruffle and Cording silhouette that is applied to women's and men's party dresses, by applying the technique of tikan trace stitch and balut stitch, which is inspired by Fuchsia flowers and displayed at the work title activity.
