Pengaruh Pemanfaatan Media Game ABC “Spin and Say” terhadap Perkembangan Bahasa dan Kognitif Anak Kelompok A di Taman Kanak-Kanak

Effect of the Use ABC Game Media “Spin and Say” on the Language and Cognitive Development of Group Children in Kindergarten

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemanfaatan media game ABC “spin and say” terhadap perkembangan bahasa dan perkembangan kognitif anak kelompok A Taman Kanak-Kanak. Pendekatan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan desain quasi experimental dengan jenis nonequivalent control group design. Sampel penelitian ini adalah anak kelompok A TK Nick Kids Club dan TK Hangtuah 05. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui lembar pengamatan perkembangan bahasa dan kemampuan kognitif anak. Data penelitian dianalisis menggunakan uji normalitas, uji homogenitas dan pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: Pertama, data hasil analisis pengujian hipotesis perkembangan bahasa anak antara kelompok kontrol dan kelompok eksperimen saat pretest diperoleh nilai t_hitung (0,304) < t_tabel (1,995) dengan df= 76 taraf signifikansi 5% (0,05) dan hasil sig. 2 tailed senilai 0,762>0,05, berarti bahwa tidak ada  perbedaan secara signifikan perkembangan bahasa saat pretest. Sedangkan saat posttest diperoleh diperoleh nilai t_hitung (3,043)> t_tabel (1,995) dengan df= 76 taraf signifikansi 5% (0,05) dan hasil sig. 2 tailed senilai 0,003<0,05, berarti bahwa ada perbedaan secara signifikan perkembangan bahasa anak pada saat posttest. Kedua, hasil analisis pengujian hipotesis perkembangan kognitif antara kelompok kontrol dan kelompok eksperimen saat pretest diperoleh nilai t_hitung (0,930) < t_tabel (2,011) dengan df= 76 taraf signifikansi 5% (0,05) dan hasil sig. 2 tailed senilai 0,355>0,05. Artinya, tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan perkembangan bahasa anak pada saat pretest. Sedangkan saat posttest diperoleh nilai t_hitung (4,593) > t_tabel (1,995) dengan df= 76 taraf signifikansi 5% (0,05) dan hasil sig. 2 tailed senilai 0,000<0,05. Artinya, ada pengaruh yang signifikan perkembangan kognitif anak pada saat posttest antara kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen. Berdasarkan analisis data tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh yang signifikan pemanfaatan media game ABC “spin and say” terhadap perkembangan bahasa dan kognitif anak kelompok A Taman Kanak-Kanak.

        This study aims to determine the effect of the use of ABC game media "spin and say" on language and cognitive development of children in group A kindergarten. The approach in this study uses a quantitative approach. This research is an experimental research with a quasi experimental design with a type of nonequivalent control group design. The sample of this study is children of group a kindergarten Nick Kids Club and kindergarten Hangtuah 05. Data collection techniques through observation sheets of language development and cognitive abilities of children. The research data were analyzed using the normality test, homogeneity test and hypothesis testing using the t test. The results showed that: First, data analysis results of testing the hypothesis of child language development between the control group and the experimental group at the pretest obtained t_count (0,304) < t_table (1,995) with df = 76 significance level of 5% (0.05) and the results of sig. 2 tailed worth 0,762 > 0,05, means that there is no significant difference in language development during the pretest. Whereas during the posttest obtained t_count (3,043) > t_table (1,995) with df = 76 significance level of 5% (0.05) and the results of sig. 2 tailed worth 0.003 < 0.05, meaning that there are significant differences in children's language development at the posttest. Second, the results of the analysis of testing the cognitive development hypothesis between the control group and the experimental group at the pretest obtained t_count (0,930) < t_table (2,011) with df = 76 significance level of 5% (0.05) and the results of sig. 2 tailed worth 0,355 > 0,05. That is, there is no significant difference in children's language development at the time of the pretest. Whereas at posttest, t_count (4,593) > t_table (1,995) with df = 76 significance level of 5% (0.05) and the results of sig. 2 tailed worth 0,000 < 0,05. That is, there are significant differences in children's cognitive development at the posttest between the control class and the experimental class. Based on the analysis of these data, it can be concluded that is a significant effect of the use of game media ABC "spin and say" on the language and cognitive development of group A kindergartens
