Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kelayakan, kepraktisan dan efektivitas buku supplemen berbasis metode treffinger terhadap peningkatkan keterampilan membaca pada siswa kelas V Sekolah Dasar.

Penelitian ini dilakukan di SDN Banyuajuh 3 Kamal dengan subjek penelitian adalah 28 siswa kelas V tahun pelajaran 2018/2019. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian pengembangan menggunakan model 4-D dari Thiagarajan (1974). Deskripsi dari kelayakan buku supplemen berbasis metode treffinger merupakan kriteria penentu apakah kualitas suatu produk layak untuk digunakan atau tidak. Dimana instrumen dari kelayakan tersebut menggunakan lembar validasi. Deskripsi dari kepraktisan buku supplemen berbasis metode treffinger yaitu merupakan alat evaluasi yang lebih memberikan penekanan di tingkat efisiensi serta efektivitas alat evaluasi. Deskripsi kepraktisan ini menggunakan angket respon siswa dan keterlaksanaan RPP. Sedangkan deskripsi dari efektivitas buku supplemen berbasis metode treffinger merupakan suatu ukuran yang menyatakan seberapa jauh target (kuantitas, kualitas dan waktu) telah tercapai. Semakin besar presentase target yang dicapai, semakin tinggi pula efektivitasnya. Deskripsi ini dicapai dari lembar pengamatan aktivitas guru dan aktivitas siswa.

Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dari deskripsi kelayakan, kepraktisan dan efektivitas buku yang dijabarkan, hasil rekapitulasi validasi draf I dari kelayakan buku memperoleh nilai rata-rata 149,5 dengan presentase 92,6%. Sedangkan hasil rekapitulasi validasi draf II dari kelayakan buku memperoleh nilai rata-rata 156 dengan presentase 94,6%. Hasil keterampilan siswa sebelum menggunakan buku supplemen berbasis metode treffinger memperoleh rata-rata 70,6 dan nilai rata-rata tersebut meningkat setelah menggunakan buku supplemen berbasis metode treffinger yaitu dengan memperoleh rata-rata 89,6. Secara garis besar dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengembangan buku tematik menggunakan metode treffinger untuk meningkatkan keterampilan membaca siswa mengalami peningkatan secara signifikan.

This study attempts to describe feasibility, practicality and the effectiveness of supplement books used treffinger methods to increase of reading skill students grade V elementary school.

The research was conducted in sdn Banyuajuh 3 Kamal with the subject of study is 28 students grade 5 in 2018 / 2019. Description of feasibility supplement books used treffinger method is criteria the best whether the quality of good product to used or not. Where instruments of feasibility that their used validation sheets. Description of practicality supplement books used treffinger that is based method evaluation give more emphasis at the efficiency and the effectiveness of an evaluation tools. Where description practicality it uses inquiry students responds and lesson plans. While description of the effectiveness of supplement books used treffinger method a size of who said how far its target (quantity, the quality and time) has been achieved. Where the higher percentage is the target achieved, the higher of their effectiveness .This is accomplished description of sheets observation teachers and students activities.

Based on the results of the data analysis from the descriptions for the feasibility , practicality and the effectiveness of books that are elaborated , the recapitulation result of matter of validating the draft of the I of for the feasibility of a book achieved average is 149,5 with the percentage 92,6 % . While the recapitulation result validation the draft ii of the worthiness of the book received scores of the average 156 with the percentage of 94,6 % .The results of prior to the use supplement student skills book used treffinger methods obtain the average 70.6 and the average score was increasing after using a supplement books used treffinger methods namely by acquiring the average 89,6 .In the broad sense it can be concluded that the development treffinger books to increase thematic basis uses the method of reading skill students increased significantly.
