PENCIPTAAN BUSANA READY TO WEAR DELUXE DENGAN IDE DISTORSI WAYANG BUTO
CREATION OF READY TO WEAR DELUXE FASHION WITH THE SOURCE IDEA OF WAYANG BUTO DISTORTION
Wayang buto sebagai properti kesenian Jaranan Buto yang memiliki karakteristik wajah seram dengan mulut terbuka memperlihatkan gigi bahkan taringnya, berbadan gemuk mencerminkan angkara dan keserakahan menjadi ide pemantik pembuatan busana ready to wear deluxe. Studi praktik penciptaan ini bertujuan untuk: (1) Mendeskripsikan konsep penciptaan Busana Ready To Wear Deluxe dengan Ide Distorsi Wayang Buto, (2) Merumuskan proses perancangan Busana Ready To Wear Deluxe dengan Ide Distorsi Wayang Buto, (3) Mewujudkan hasil jadi Busana Ready To Wear Deluxe dengan Ide Distorsi Wayang Buto melalui metode penciptaan karya Practice-led Research, dan (4) Mempublikasikan atau menyajikan hasil peracangan Busana Ready To Wear Deluxe dengan Ide Distorsi Wayang Buto dalam bentuk diseminasi fashion show. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penciptaan karya Practice-Ied-Research oleh Hendriyana yang dimulai dengan tahap eksplorasi, perancangan karya, perwujudan karya dan diseminasi karya. Busana diwujudkan mejadi tiga busana ready to wear deluxe, yaitu dua rancangan female dan satu rancangan male. Keunikan pada busana ini terletak pada potongan busananya yang membentuk lengkung dan runcing atau segitiga, potongan busana lengkung terinspirasi dari bentuk kepala wayang dan runcing terinspirasi dari mahkota wayang.

Wayang Buto as a property of Jaranan Buto art which has the characteristics of a scary face with an open mouth showing teeth and even fangs, a fat body reflecting anger and greed became the idea that sparked the creation of ready to wear deluxe clothing. This study of creative practice aims to: (1) Describe the concept of creating Ready To Wear Deluxe Clothing with the Idea of Wayang Buto Distortion, (2) Formulate the design process of Ready To Wear Deluxe Clothing with the Idea of Wayang Buto Distortion, (3) Realize the finished results of Ready To Wear Deluxe Clothing with the Idea of Wayang Buto Distortion through the Practice-led Research work creation method, and (4) Publish or present the results of designing Ready To Wear Deluxe Clothing with the Idea of Wayang Buto Distortion in the form of a fashion show dissemination. This study uses the Practice-Led-Research work creation method by Hendriyana which begins with the exploration stage, work design, work realization and work dissemination. The clothing is realized into three ready to wear deluxe clothing, namely two female designs and one male design. The uniqueness of this clothing lies in the cutting of the clothing which forms curves and is pointed or triangular. The curved cutting of the clothing is inspired by the shape of a puppet's head and the pointed cutting is inspired by a puppet's crown.
