In the era of Society, technological development has experienced significant progress, especially in the world of education. The use of technology in learning has become an urgent situation, allowing for distance learning and independent learning. One of the developing forms is E-Learning, a distance learning method that uses computer technology and can be accessed anywhere and anytime so that it can be used for independent learning. However, Educational Technology students have less interest in independent learning in Educational Psychology courses, which has an impact on the lack of development of their critical thinking skills.
This study aims to develop an E-Learning in Educational Psychology that is feasible and effective to be used as a learning medium for the Educational Psychology course for students of Educational Technology at Surabaya State University using the Research and Development (RnD) research and development method with a pre-experimental design using one group pretest-posttest.
The development result named “E-Learning Psikopend” received very decent validation from media experts with an average value of 96.92 and showed sufficient effectiveness in student trials. With an average value of 96.67% for small groups and 94.33% for large groups, E-Learning is considered feasible and effective for use in learning the Educational Psychology Course.
E-Learning “Psikopend” is expected to help improve students’ critical thinking in the subject of Educational Psychology, and can be a model for the development of other E-Learning. Further dissemination and development of this media is recommended to expand its benefits, especially in facing the challenges of independent learning in the subject of Educational Psychology.
