This research
aims to analyze the level of gender equality in the structure and power
relations in the government of Kapas Village, Kapas District, Bojonegoro
Regency. A qualitative approach is used to understand social dynamics and the
role of gender in decision making and policy implementation at the village
level. This study adopts Gender and Development (GAD) theory as the basis for
analysis to identify key aspects of gender equality that are reflected in the
village government structure. Data collection methods include in-depth
interviews with key stakeholders, participant observation, and analysis of
documents related to gender policies. The research results show that there is
gender inequality in the distribution of power and access to resources in the
Kapas Village government. Even though women have a significant role in community
life, their representation in decision-making forums is still limited. The
existence of social and cultural norms that influence perceptions of gender
roles is also an important factor in the formation of structures and power
relations at the village level. This research contributes to understanding the
complexity of gender dynamics at the local level and provides recommendations
for improving policies and programs aimed at increasing gender equality in
village governance. It is hoped that the results of this research can become a
basis for promoting women's active participation in decision making and
reducing gender disparities in Kapas Village, Kapas District, Bojonegoro
Regency.
