Kondisi belajar siswa tunarungu di SLB Kabupaten Banjarnegara
mengakibatkan minimnya keterampilan membaca permulaan dan aktivitas belajar. Penelitian
ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh Language
Experience Approach terhadap keterampilan membaca permulaan
anak tunarungu di Sekolah Luar Biasa Kabupaten Banjarnegara dan menguji pengaruh Language Experience Approach terhadap aktivitas belajar membaca
permulaan anak tunarungu di Sekolah Luar Biasa Kabupaten Banjarnegara.
Penelitian
ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan desain one group pretest-posttest design . Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa
tunarungu yang duduk di kelas dua SLB Kabupaten Banjarnegara tahun ajaran 2017/2018. Dengan teknik purposive
sampling dipilih enam anak sebagai sampel. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes dan observasi. Anak-anak tersebut
diberikan tes sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan serta diamati aktivitasnya selama
perlakuan. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan berbantuan SPSS 19.0.
Berdasarkan uji wilcoxon diperoleh Z =-2,20, p =0,03 untuk data
keterampilan membaca permulaan dan Z =-2,33,
p =0,02 untuk data
aktivitas belajar. Hasil penelitian
ini menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh signifikan Language Experience Approach terhadap
keterampilan membaca permulaan anak tunarungu di Sekolah Luar Biasa Kabupaten
Banjarnegara dan terdapat pengaruh Language Experience Approach
terhadap aktivitas belajar membaca permulaan anak tunarungu di Sekolah Luar
Biasa Kabupaten Banjarnegara.

The
learning conditions of deaf students in Special Schools in Banjarnegara
District resulted in a lack of early reading skills and learning activities.
This study aims to examine the effect of Language Experience Approach on the
early reading skills of deaf children in the Special School of Banjarnegara
Regency and examine the effect of Language Experience Approach on the early
reading learning activities of deaf children in Special Schools in Banjarnegara
District.
This
research is an experimental study with one group pretest-posttest design. The
population of this study were deaf students who were in the second grade of the
SLB in Banjarnegara in the 2017/2018 school year. With purposive sampling
technique, six children were chosen as samples. Data collection is done through
tests and observations. The children were given tests before and after
treatment and observed their activities during the treatment. Data analysis
techniques used are assisted by SPSS 19.0.
Based
on Wilcoxon test, it was obtained Z = -2.20, p = 0.03 for the data of
preliminary reading skills and Z = -2.33, p = 0.02 for learning activity data.
The results of this study indicate that there is a significant influence of
Language Experience Approach on the early reading skills of deaf children in
Special Schools in Banjarnegara Regency and there is the influence of Language
Experience Approach on the early learning activities of deaf children in
Special Schools in Banjarnegara District.
