This research aims to determine the effect of rewarding in basketball shooting learning outcomes. The research was conducted in the Junior High School 21 Surabaya Academic Year 2019/2020. The research method in the research is quasi-experimental research with a quantitative approach to inquiry the effectiveness of student learning in basketball shooting and using the Randomized Control Group Pretest-Posttest research design. The research samples were 35 students for the experimental class and 29 students for the control class. The research instrument was the skill test which was given at the pretest and posttest. The average pretest is 1.2857 and posttest is 1.7714. Whereas the standard deviation pretest is 1.65514 and posttest is 1.61037. Furthermore, the variant value of pretest is 2.739 and posttest is 2.593. The homogeneity test is used to determine the variance of each group the same or similar, which has a value of 0.005. The variant of the data population is not the same because the significant value is less than 0.05. Whereas from the normality test results, the value of the pretest is 0,000 and for the posttest is 0,001. Because the results of the data are both smaller than (5%), the distribution data is not normal. Therefore, the Wilcoxon non-parametric difference test was used. From this data, the Wilcoxon non-parametric value is -2,473 and the significance is 0.013. It can be stated that this treatment has an effect because the significant value is smaller than 0.05. Whereas the value of the increase in pretest and posttest is 4%. From this research, it can be concluded that there is an effect of giving rewards to learning outcomes of basketball shooting at Junior High School 21 Surabaya with an increase of 4%.
