PENCIPTAAN BUSANA EVENING WEAR DENGAN SUMBER IDE DEWI KILISUCI

CREATION OF EVENING WEAR WITH THE SOURCE OF IDEAS FROM DEWI KILISUCI

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian penciptaan busana evening wear yang mengangkat budaya lokal daerah Kediri, yakni legenda Dewi Kilisuci. Dewi Kilisuci merupakan sosok Putri yang memutuskan untuk menjadi pertapa hingga akhir hayatnya di Goa Selomangleng Kediri. Tekstil monumental karya ini diambil dari relief-relief goa yang membentuk dynamic line dan motif lidah api. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses perwujudan dan hasil jadi busana evening wear dengan sumber ide Dewi Kilisuci.  Metode penciptaan Practice-Ied-Research digunakan dalam proses perwujudan busana yang meliputi tahap pra-perancangan, perancangan, perwujudan dan penyajian karya.  Hasil karya pada penelitian ini menghasilkan 2 busana wanita dan 1 busana pria  dengan sumber Ide Dewi Kilisuci dengan menerapkan tekstil monumental ruffle, bordir, dan payet. Busana yang telah diwujudkan ini  dipamerkan dalam acara Grand Jury dan Mahatrakala Annual Fashion Show.

This research is a fashion creation study focused on the development of evening wear inspired by the local culture of Kediri, specifically the legend of Dewi Kilisuci. Dewi Kilisuci is a princess who chose to live a life of asceticism until the end of her days in the Selomangleng Cave in Kediri. The monumental textile designs in this work are derived from the cave’s reliefs, which feature dynamic lines and flame tongue motifs. The aim of this research is to explore the process and outcomes of creating evening wear inspired by Dewi Kilisuci. The Practice-Led Research method is employed throughout the creation process, which includes the stages of pre-design, design, realization, and presentation. The final works produced in this research consist of two women’s garments and one men’s garment, all inspired by Dewi Kilisuci. These designs incorporate monumental textile techniques such as ruffles, embroidery, and sequins. The completed garments were showcased at the Grand Jury event and the Mahatrakala Annual Fashion Show.
