Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis dan mendeskripsikan fungsi manajemen mulai dari perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pelaksaan dan pengendalian pendidikan karakter santri di Pondok Pesantren al-fatich surabaya.
Untuk menguraikan fokus penelitian diatas, penelitian ini dirancang dengan mengguakan pendekatan kualitatif, adapun jenis penelitian ini penelitian kualitatif naturalistik, mengunakan pendekatan ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan perilaku orang, peristiwa di lapangan, serta kegiatan-kegiatan tertentu secara rinci dan mendalam yang berkaitan dengan penerapan fungsi-fungsi manajemen karakter santri. Adapun metode pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan 3 cara yakni : (1) observasi, (2) wawancara, (3) dokumentasi, ketiga-tiganya dilakukan secara terencana untuk mendapatkan data yang akurat dan relevan. data yang telah terkumpul selanjutnya dianalisis melalui proses reduksi data, sajian data, verifikasi serta penarikan kesimpulan penelitian. Temuan penelitian disajikan dalam bentuk uraian deskriptif secara terperinci, dilengkapi dengan gambar maupun tabel sebagaimana ruanglingkup pembahasan.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perencanaan pendidikan karakter santri dilakukan oleh kiai, ustad, dan pengurus terkait penentuan kebutuhan, alasan program, subjek dan objek, waktu, tempat, dan cara realisasi program. Pengorganisasian pendidikan karakter santri mencakup pengelolaan ketenagaan, sarana dan prasarana, serta pengelolaan tugas dan tanggung jawab aktor. Pengkoordinasian pendidikan karakter santri dilakukan dengan cara musyawarah bersama aktor terkait. Pelaksanaan pendidikan karakter santri dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode kasbi, tazkiyyah, teladan, motivasi, peraturan, dan pembiasaan. Penilaian pendidikan karakter santri menggunakan penilaian raport, haliyah, serta penilaian masyarakat termasuk alumni Pondok Pesantren.

This study aims to analyze and describe management functions ranging from planning, organizing, implementing and controlling the character education of students at Pondok Pesantren al-Fatich Surabaya.
To describe the focus of the research above, this study was designed using a qualitative approach, as for the type of qualitative research, using this approach aims to describe the behavior of people, events in the field, as well as certain activities in detail and in depth related to the implementation of character management functions. Students. The data study method is carried out in 3 ways, namely: (1) observation, (2) interviews, (3) documentation, all three are carried out in a planned manner to obtain accurate and relevant data. The data that has been collected is then analyzed the process of data reduction, research data, levers and research withdrawals. The research findings are presented in detail, equipped with pictures and discussion tables.
The results showed that the planning of character education for students was carried out by the kiai, ustad, and administrators related to determining needs, program reasons, subjects and objects, time, place, and how the program was realized. Organizing the character education of the students includes managing personnel, facilities and infrastructure, as well as managing the duties and responsibilities of actors. The coordination of character education for students is carried out by means of deliberations with related actors. The implementation of character education for students is carried out using the methods of kasbi, tazkiyyah, role model, motivation, regulations, and habituation. Assessment of character education for service providers, haliyah, as well as assessments of the community including alumni of Islamic boarding schools.
