Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kegiatan story reading bermedia big book terhadap minat baca anak usia 5-6 tahun dan pengaruh kegiatan story reading bermedia big book terhadap kemamuan menceritakan kembali anak usia 5-6 tahun di RA Al-Kalam Surabaya.
Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan rancangan quasi experimental design dengan desain penelitian nonequivalent control group design. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada anak usia 5-6 tahun di RA Al-Kalam Surabaya dengan 30 subjek yaitu kelas B1 sebagai kelas eksperimen sebanyak 15 anak dan kelas B2 sebagai kelas kontrol sebanyak 15 anak. Data penelitian diperoleh dari observasi dan dokumentasi pada saat penelitian. Analisis data menggunakan independent sample t-test.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dengan uji independent sample t-test menunjukkan p value 0,00 ˃ 0,05, hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa hipotesis nul ditolak, sehingga dapat disimpulkan terdapat pengaruh kegiatan story reading bermedia big book terhadap minat baca anak usai 5-6 tahun di RA Al-Kalam. dengan uji independent sample t-test menunjukkan p value 0,00 ˃ 0,05, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh kegiatan story reading bermedia big book terhadap kemampuan menceritakan kembali anak usia 5-6 tahun.

This study aims to determine the effect of story reading activities with big book media on reading interest of children aged 5-6 years and the effect of story reading activities on media big books on the ability to retell children aged 5-6 years at RA Al-Kalam Surabaya.
This research uses a quantitative approach with a quasi experimental design with a nonequivalent control group design. This research was conducted on children aged 5-6 years at RA Al-Kalam Surabaya with 30 subjects, namely class B1 as an experimental class of 15 children and class B2 as a control class of 15 children.
