FALSAFAH KEHIDUPAN DALAM MAKANAN KHAS MADURA SEBAGAI IDE PENCIPTAAN KARYA SENI LUKIS

PHILOSOPHY OF LIFE IN TYPICAL MADURESE FOOD AS AN IDEA TO CREATE PAINTING

Pengambilan tema makanan khas Madura sebagai materi subjek dalam berkarya untuk terus mendukung eksistensi makanan khas tersebut di era banyaknya makanan siap saji. Selain itu, makanan khas Madura juga memiliki nilai filosofis yang sangat berarti. Falsafah kehidupan inilah yang melatarbelakangi perupa untuk mengembangkan ide berkarya. Penciptaan karya ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi ide-ide kreatif dan mengolahnya, sehingga menjadi karya seni lukis. Visualisasi karya non figuratif dengan metafora visual. Penciptaan karya ini menggunakan pendekatan Practice-led Research. Hasil dari penciptaan karya berupa lima lukisan dengan berukuran 120 cm x 100 cm sebanyak tiga buah dan ukuran 100 cm x 100 cm sebanyak dua buah dengan teknik opaque dan impasto. Daya pembeda dari karya perupa dengan seniman lain dapat dilihat dari aksentuasi ornamentik yang menjadi elemen dekorasi yang membungkus subject matter, sehingga menciptakan efek tekstur semu. Akselerasi pesan dalam karya bisa ditarik dari ekspos lorjuk, singkong, daun siwalan dan jagung, kacang panjang, daging serta berbagai objek tumbuhan yang berkorelasi dengan nilai filosofis.

Taking the theme of Madurese food as the subject matter in working to continue to support the existence of these specialties in the era of many ready-to-eat foods. In addition, Madurese food also has a very meaningful philosophical value. This philosophy of life is what is behind the artist to develop the idea of work. The creation of this work aims to explore creative ideas and process them, so that they become works of painting. Visualization of non-figurative works with visual metaphors. The creation of this work uses a Practice-led Research approach. The result of the creation of works in the form of five paintings measuring 120 cm x 100 cm as many as three pieces and measuring 100 cm x 100 cm as many as two pieces with opaque and impasto techniques. The distinguishing power of the artist's work with other artists can be seen from the ornamental accentuation which becomes a decoration element that wraps the subject matter so as to create a false texture effect. The acceleration of the message in the work can be drawn from the exposure of lorjuk, cassava, siwalan leaves and corn, long beans, meat and various plant objects that correlate with philosophical values.
