Menuntut adanya peningkatan mutu pembelajaran diperlukan sumber belajar yang memfasilitasi siswa untuk memecahkan suatu masalah dengan mudah, salah satunya yaitu modul. Problem based learning merupakan model pembelajaran yang dihadapkan pada suatu masalah, yang kemudian dengan melalui pemecahan masalah tersebut siswa belajar keterampilan-keterampilan yang lebih mendasar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan modul berbasis problem based learning pada sub materi pencemaran lingkungan untuk melatihkan literasi sains siswa kelas X SMA yang layak secara teoritis dan empiris. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode 4D (define, design, develop, serta disseminate). Kegiatan uji coba terbatas dilakukan pada 15 peserta didik kelas X MIA 3 di MA Negeri 1 Mojokerto. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Modul berbasis Problem Based Learning pada materi pencemaran lingkungan berisikan materi dan soal tentang permasalahan nyata yang ada di lingkungan sekitar untuk melatihkan literasi sains. Modul yang dikembangkan dinyatakan valid berdasarkan isi, penyajian dan kebahasaan dengan skor rata-rata yang diperoleh sebesar 3,87 dengan kategori sangat valid. Keterbacaan modul pada ketiga sampel yang diuji cobakan pada level 10, sehingga modul berbasis problem based learning sesuai digunakan oleh peserta didik kelas X. Hasil dari melatihkan keterampilan literasi sains memiliki rentang skor 80-100% dengan kategori sangat baik. Respon peserta didik pada setiap kriteria sebesar 97,48% dengan kategori sangat positif. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan modul berbasis problem based learning yang telah dikembangkan layak disajikan dalam pembelajaran untuk melatihkan literasi sains.

Demanding an increase in the quality of learning is needed learning resources that facilitate students to solve a problem easily, one of them is the module. Problem based learning is a learning model that is faced with a problem, which then through solving the problem students learn more basic skills. This study aims to produce modules based problem based learning on environmental pollution exercise students science literation skill in grade X which is theoretically and empirically feasible. The research method used is the method 4D (define, design, develop, and disseminate). Limited trial activities carried out on 15 class students X MIA 3 at MA Negeri 1 Mojokerto. Data were analyzed qualitative and quantitative. Module based on Problem Based Learning in environmental pollution material contains material and questions about real problems that exist in the environment to practice scientific literation. The module developed is declared valid based on content, presentation and language with the average score obtained is 3.87 with a very valid categories. Module readability in all three samples tested at level 10, so module based on problem based learning are suitable for use by students in grade X. The results of exercise science literation skills have a range of scores 80-100% with a very good category. Respons of students on each criterion is equal to 97,48% with very positive categories. The results show that modul based on problem based learning which has been developed properly theoretical and empirical practice of scientific literation.
