PENERAPAN DIRECT INSTRUCTION PADA KOMPETENSI DASAR MENERAPKAN KONSTRUKSI BAHAN TEKSTIL DI SMKN 3 PROBOLINGGO
THE IMPLEMENTATION OF DIRECT INSTRUCTION ON THE BASIC COMPETENCIES TO APPLY TEXTILE MATERIAL CONSTRUCTION IN SMKN 3 PROBOLINGGO
Direct instruction adalah jenis pembelajaran untuk mendukung pengetahuan dengan sifat procedural, pengetahuan deklaratif dan keterampilan dasar yang terstruktur dan diajarkan tahap demi tahap dengan guru sebagai pemberi informasi utama dengan memperhatikan pemahaman dan umpan balik yang jelas kepada siswa. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui keterlaksanaan sintak, respon dan hasil belajar siswa selama proses pembelajaran berlangsung menerapkan konstruksi bahan tekstil.
Jenis penelitian termasuk penelitian deskripstif kuantitatif, lalu proses pengambilan data dilaksanakan dengan melakukan tahapan observasi keterlaksanaan sintak dan respon siswa selama proses pembelajaran berlangsung serta lembar hand out untuk mendapatkan nilai hasil belajar aspek pengetahuan siswa dalam menerapkan konstruksi bahan tekstil. Responden penelitian adalah siswa kelas X busana sebanyak 36 siswa. Instrumen penilaian menggunakan lembar pengamatan keterlaksanaan sintak, lembar angket respon, lembar pengamatan sikap, lembar penilaian pengetahuan dengan lembar tes tulis dan lembar penilaian ketrampilan dengan lembar kinerja.
Dari hasil tahapan observasi dan analisis data yang telah diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa secara keseluruhan keterlaksanaan sintak dalam pembelajaran direct instruction membuat konstruksi bahan tekstil dari berbagai bahan (kertas) meliputi : tenunan silang polos, silang kepar dan silang satin berdasarkan pengamatan menunjukkan mean 3,13 dan sesuai dengan kriteria sangat baik, respon siswa selama proses pembelajaran direct instruction membuat konstruksi bahan tekstil dari berbagai bahan meliputi tenunan silang polos, silang kepar dan silang satin menunjukkan rata –rata hasil persentase 90,2% dan sesuai kriteria sangat baik, rata-rata hasil belajar 77,52. Total siswa yang tuntas yaitu sebanyak 32 siswa dan siswa tidak tuntas 4 orang, persentase ketuntasan belajar pada jenis klasikal mencapai 88,8%. Maka penerapan direct instruction mampu dikatakan berhasil.

Direct instruction is a learning model to support procedural knowledge, declarative knowledge and structured basic skills and are taught step by step with teacher as the main information provider by paying attention to clear understanding and feedback to students. The purpose of this research was to determine the execution of syntax, responses and student learning achievement during the learning process applying the construction of textile materials.
This type of research is quantitatif descriptive, then collection of data is carried out by conducting a series of observations of the implementation of the syntax and responses during the learning process and the hand out sheet to determine student learning outcomes aspect cognitif in applying construction of the textile materials. Respondent of the research are student of class X fashion as many as 36 students. Assessment instruments use the syntax observational sheets, response questionnaire sheets, attitude observation sheets, knowledge assessment sheets with written test sheets and skill assessment sheets with performance sheets.
From the observation steps and data result analysis that has been concluded that the overall implementation of syntax in direct instruction learning makes the construction of textile materials (paper) including: plain cross, twill and satin cross woven based on observations showing mean of 3,13 and according to the criteria very well, responses during the learning process direct instruction to make construction of textile materials from a variety of materials including plain cross, twill and satin cross woven shows an average percentage of 90,2 and according to criteria very well, the average value of learning achievement is 77,52. The number of students completeness is 32 students declared complete and 4 students declared incomplete, the percentage of mastery learning classically reached 88,8% and the execution of direct instruction could be said successful.
