THE EFFECT OF TRADITIONAL GAMES IN PHYSICAL EDUCATION,
SPORTS AND HEALTH LEARNING ON STUDENTS’ MOTORIC SKILL

Physical
education is one of the mandatory lesson students must learn because the
learning is oriented towards the development and growth of students. Which
includes skill, knowledge and physical. Physical education being a place for
students to do physical activities and movement needs in school. The basic
motion for student must be sufficient
becauseit will affect the motor development
of students. Good motor development in primary school will affect motor
development in later ages. Factors of studens
habbits in home and school environment when playing will greatly affect
the motor development of students. One of great games for students motor
development is a traditional games.
The
objectives of this research were (1) to find out the effect of traditional
games in physical sport and health education
learning on motor skill of student, (2)
to find out what aspects can affect students’ motor skill.
The
type of researc is quasi-researc with
quantitative approach, the reasearch design is one group pre-test and
post-testdesign. The sample in this research is 14 student from 5 grade SDN 01 Urek-urek. The instruments that were used in this research were motoric skill
test which consists of four tests: (1) shuttle run 4x10 meter,
(2)coordination test (throw and catch the ball between 1 meter at the wall),
(3) strok stand positional balance test, and (4) speed test 30 meter.
The results obtained can be conclude that there is a
significant effect of the aplication of traditional games in physical
education, and sport health learning to the motor skill of 5 grade elementary
school 01 Urek-urek. This is based on the calculation of the test paired sample t-test that is t count > t table with value 3,782
> 1,771 with significant level 0,05.
The effect of traditional games in physical education and sport health on
students’ motor skill is 3,63%.
