Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara self esteem dengan konformitas dalam memilih kegiatan kemahasiswaan pada mahasiswa FIP Unesa angkatan 2017. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif korelasional. Jumlah subyek penelitian sebanyak 627 mahasiswa yang tersebar di delapan jurusan di Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Negeri Surabaya. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk pengujian pada penelitian adalah skala psikologi yang terdiri dari skala self esteem yang diadopsi dari skala self esteem Rosenberg  dan skala konformitas yang diadaptasi dan modifikasi dari skala konformitas Barron, Crutchfield dan Gough. Analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah korelasi product moment. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar –0,706  yang dapat diartikan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang negatif atau berlawanan antara kedua variabel yaitu self esteem dan konformitas.

This study aim to determine about the relationship between self esteem and conformity in choosing students activity of student college in FIP Unesa batch of 2017. This research using a quantitative correlational as a method. The number of research subjects was 627 students, it spread across eight departments in the Faculty of Education, Surabaya State University. For this research, the author using a psychology scale consisting of a self esteem scale adopted from the Rosenberg self esteem scale and the conformity scale adapted and modified from the Barron, Crutchfield and Gough conformity scales, as a testing instrument. Analysis of the data in the research is using product moment correlation. The result of data analysis show a correlation coefficient of -0,706 which can be interpreted that there is a negative or opposite relationship between the two variables namely self esteem and conformity.
