DESIGNING A MINDFULNESS JOURNAL AS A TRAINING EFFORT SELF-AWARENESS IN EMERGING ADULT
Penelitian di beberapa kota besar di Indonesia menunjukkan bahwa emerging adult atau dewasa awal berusia 18-29 tahun mengalami masa quarter life crisis dengan kategori sedang dan tinggi. Quarter life crisis sendiri merupakan kondisi krisis emosional seperti perasaan tak berdaya, terisolasi, ragu akan kemampuan diri sendiri, dan takut akan kegagalan. Salah satu upaya untuk menghadapi masa tersebut adalah dengan journaling untuk melatih self-awareness supaya lebih mengenal dirinya dan bisa menghadapi masalah dalam hidupnya dengan lebih baik. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan metode perancangan Design Thinking. Data primer diperoleh melalui wawancara dengan psikolog dan penyebaran kuesioner kepada emerging adult, serta data sekunder melalui studi pustaka. Proses perancangan melibatkan validasi oleh psikolog dan uji coba pada target audiens. Konten dalam buku jurnal mengangkat komponen utama dari Self-Awareness yaitu Emotional Self-Awareness, Accurate Self-Assesment, dan Self-Confidence. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa desain jurnal diterima dengan baik dan membantu dalam melatih self-awareness. Dengan adanya mindfulness journal, diharapkan dapat mendukung praktik mindfulness dan self-awareness secara efektif.

Several studies in several large cities in Indonesia show that emerging adults or early adults aged 18-29 years are experiencing a quarter-life crisis period in the medium and high categories. Quarter-life crisis itself is an emotional crisis condition such as feeling helpless, isolated, doubting one's abilities, and fear of failure. One effort to deal with this period is by journaling to train self-awareness so that you know yourself better and can face problems in your life better. This research is qualitative research using the Design Thinking design method. Primary data was obtained through interviews with psychologists and distributing questionnaires to emerging adults, as well as secondary data through literature study. The design process involved validation by psychologists and testing on the target audience. The content in the journal highlights the main components of Self-Awareness, namely Emotional Self-Awareness, Accurate Self-Assessment, and Self-Confidence. The results show that the journal design is well received and helps in training self-awareness. With a mindfulness journal, it is hoped that it can support the practice of mindfulness and self-awareness effectively.
