PENALARAN SISWA SD KELAS V DALAM PEMECAHAN MASALAH MATEMATIKA DITINJAU BERDASARKAN PERBEDAAN GENDER
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendiskripsikan penalaran siswa laki-laki dan perempuan dalam pemecahan masalah matematika. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek yang dipilih berdasarkan kategori kemampuan matematika tinggi. Data penelitian berupa tes kemampuan matematika, data tes pemecahan masalah matematika, dan data hasil wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa siswa laki-laki dalam memecahkan masalah matematika berbeda dengan siswa perempuan. Hal tersebut terbukti pada hasil tes pemecahan masalah matematika dan hasil wawancara. Siswa laki-laki cenderung kurang percaya diri dengan pendapat sendiri dan masih membutuhkan bantuan dari peneliti, sedangkan siswa perempuan lebih percaya diri saat menjelaskan jawabanya kepada peneliti.

REASONING OF FIFTH GRADE OF ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENTS IN MATHEMATICAL PROBLEM SOLVING REVIEWED BASED ON GENDER DIFFERENCES This research aims to describe the male and female students reasoning in mathematics problem solving. This research uses a descriptve research with a qualitative approach. The subject are selected base on the category of high mathematical ability. The research are in form of tests of mathematical abilities, mathematical problem solving test data, and interview. The results of the study show that male students are different from female students in solving mathematical problems, it shows in the results of tests of mathematical problem solving and the interview. Male student tend to lack confidence in their own opinions and still need help, while the female students are more confident when they explain their answer.
