Fasilitator memiliki peran penting dalam pengembangan sosial anak didik PAUD pada masa – masa eksplorasinya. Namun dalam membangun anak mengembangkan sosialnya terkadang masih dianggap kurang karena kurangnya kegiatan – kegiatan bersama orang tua yang dapat menjalin interaksi anak. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan peran fasilitator melalui parenting dalam pengembangan sosial anak didik di Kelompok Bermain SALAM beserta faktor pendukung dan penghambatnya.
Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah pendiri KB, pengelola PKBM, fasilitator KB dan orang tua KB SALAM. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data, reduksi data, sajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Kriteria keabsahan data menggunakan kredibilitas, dependabilitas, konfirmabilita dan transferabilitas.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peran fasilitator melalui parenting dalam pengembangan sosial anak didik karena adanya peran - peran yakni sebagai korektor, inspirator, informator, organisator, motivator, inisiator, pembimbing, demonstrator dan mediator. Parenting diselenggarakan melalui keterlibatan antara orang tua, anak dan fasilitator untuk mengembangkan sosial anak didik di Kelompok Bermain SALAM. Pengembangan sosial anak dapat dilihat dari 1) interaksi yang terjadi pada anak akibat kegiatan – kegiatan parenting dan 2) dukungan yang diberikan oleh orang tua dan fasilitator pada anak. Faktor pendukung meliputi adanya keterbukaan dari komponen komunitas SALAM, kerjasama antar fasilitator dan orang tua, adanya media dan komunikasi yang tepat. Faktor penghambat meliputi orang tua yang kurang komunikatif dan ketidaknyamanan anak.

The facilitator has an important role in the social development of PAUD students during their exploration periods. But in developing children, developing their social sometimes is still considered lacking due to lack of activities with parents who can establish child interaction. The purpose of this study is to describe the role of the facilitator through the importance of social development of students in the SALAM Playgroup along with supporting factors and barriers.
This study uses qualitative descriptive research. The subjects in this study were the founders of KB, PKBM managers, KB facilitators and KB SALAM parents. The technique of collecting data uses interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis uses data collection techniques, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. Data validity criteria use credibility, dependability, confirmation and transferability.
The results of the study indicate that the role of the facilitator is through parenting in the social development of students because of the roles that are as a corrector, inspirator, informator, organizer, motivator, initiator, mentor, demonstrator and mediator. Parenting is organized through the involvement of parents, children and facilitators to develop students' social skills in the SALAM Play Group. Child social development can be seen from 1) interactions that occur in children due to parenting activities and 2) support provided by parents and facilitators in children. Supporting factors include the openness of the SALAM community component, collaboration between facilitators and parents, the existence of appropriate media and communication. Inhibiting factors include parents who are less communicative and have child discomfort.
