Proses Memeriksa Kembali Dalam Memecahkan Masalah Kontekstual Matematis Ditinjau Dari Gaya Belajar

Proses memeriksa kembali dalam memecahkan masalah merupakan sebuah langkah-langkah seseorang untuk memeriksa jawaban atau hasil perencanaan atau hasil pemahaman untuk membuktikan prosedur yang digunakan sudah benar atau jawaban yang dihasilkan sudah menjawab permasalahan. Memeriksa kembali dalam memecahkan masalah merupakan langkah yang sangat penting karena mampu meningkatkan kemampuan memecahkan masalah. Pada proses memeriksa kembali, dipengaruhi berbagai faktor, salah satunya adalah gaya belajar. Penelitian ini  merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses memeriksa kembali dalam memecahkan masalah kontekstual matematis ditinjau gaya belajar. Penelitian dilaksanakan di kelas VIII E SMP Negeri 1 Gresik. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan pemberian angket gaya belajar, tugas pemecahan masalah matematika, dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) Dari tiga peserta didik dengan gaya belajar visual didapatkan dua macam proses memeriksa kembali, yaitu proses memeriksa kembali ke tahapan memahami masalah dan proses memeriksa kembali ke tahapan  melaksanakan rencana penyelesaian. (2) Dari dua peserta didik dengan gaya belajar auditori didapatkan dua macam proses memeriksa kembali yaitu proses memeriksa kembali ke tahapan memahami masalah dan tidak melakukan proses memeriksa kembali. (3) Dari dua peserta didik dengan gaya belajar kinestetik didapatkan satu macam proses memeriksa kembali yaitu proses memeriksa kembali ke tahapan memahami masalah. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa setiap gaya belajar memiliki proses memeriksa kembali mereka masing-masing.

The process of looking back in problem solving is a person’s steps to check the answer or the planning result or the understanding result to prove the correct procedures used or the answer given to the problem. The process of looking back in problem solving is a very important step because it improves the ability to solve the problem. In the process of looking back in problem solving, influenced by variety factors, one of them is learning style. This research is a qualitative descriptive research that designed to describe the process of looking back in solving a mathematical contextual problem that reflected in the learning style. This research was conducted in VIII E class of Junior High School 1 Gresik. The technique of data collection is done by giving learning style questionnaire, giving assignments to solve the mathematic’s problem, and doing interviews.The results of the research indicate that (1) From the three students with visual learning style, we have two kinds of the process of looking back, which is the process of looking back to the step of understanding the problem and process of looking back to the step of executing the plan. (2) From the two students with auditory learning style, we have two kinds of the process of looking back, which is the process of looking back to the step of understanding the problem and not doing the process of looking back. (3) From the two students witch kinesthetic learning style, we have a kind of the process of looking back, which is the process of looking back to the step of understanding the problem. Thus, each learning style has a process of looking back each one.
