This study aims to determine the effect
of the STAD type cooperative learning model assisted by powtoon-based video
media on social skills and learning outcomes of fifth grade students of
elementary school. This study was conducted at Wonokromo III Surabaya
Elementary School in the 2018/2019 school year.
This research is a quantitative
approach. This type of research is quasi-experimental research with
nonequivalent (pretest and posttest) control group design. The study used two
classes namely the experimental class and the control class. The research
sample was VA class students as the experimental class and VB as the control
class. The research instruments used were social skills observation sheets and
learning outcomes tests. Data analysis techniques used include normality test,
homogeneity test, and independent samples t-test.
The results showed that the value of
social skills gain normalized students of the experimental class was 0 , 41 and the control class was 0 , 22. The normalized gain value of student
learning outcomes in the experimental class is 0 , 59 and the control class is 0 , 32. The test results for independent
samples of social skills t-test show that

Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded
that the STAD type cooperative learning model assisted by powtoon-based video
media has an effect on social skills and learning outcomes of fifth grade
elementary school students.
