Pembuatan zero waste pada busana yang trend saat ini berupa produk outer. Tujuan penelitian yaitu mengetahui penempatan pola zero waste outer pada motif batik system blok, dan mengetahui hasil jadi zero waste outer pada motif batik system blok . Metode penelitian berupa Double Diamond, double diamond terdiri 4 tahapan proses yaitu: discover  (menemukan permasalahan dari kebutuhan perkembangan busana), define (menetapkan moodboard), develop (menguji coba/ pengembangan), dan deliver (uji market) selanjutnya akan divalidasi oleh 3 ahli desain terdiri dari dosen pembimbing, dosen penguji 1, dan dosen penguji 2 melalui instrumen pengambilan data. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh penempatan pola zero waste outer dengan memperhatikan desain outer dan motif batik yang mengacu pada aspek ukuran, bentuk pola, bentuk garis lurus, bentuk garis lengkung, tanda pola, sisa kain dan peletakan pola. Sehingga dalam hal ini peneliti mendapati hasil dari penempatan pola yaitu dapat meminimalisir limbah yang dihasilkan. Hasil jadi zero waste outer pada motif batik system blok mengacu pada aspek kesesuaian hasil jadi produk dengan tema/moodboard, kesesuaian hasil jadi produk dengan desain, hasil jadi produk pada model dibagian depan, samping dan belakang, daya pakai produk sudah sesuai. Instrumen dianalisis dan diolah menggunakan deskriptif kuantitatif dengan hasil penelitian berupa grafik kesesuaian busana zero waste outer

Making zero waste in the current fashion trend is in the form of outer products. The aim of this research is to know the placement of the zero waste outer pattern on the block system batik motif, and to know the results of the zero waste outer pattern on the block system batik motif. The research method is in the form of Double Diamond, double diamond consists of 4 stages of the process, namely: discover (find problems from the need for clothing development), define (set the moodboard), develop (trial/development), and deliver (market test) which will then be validated by 3 experts The design consists of supervisors, examiners 1, and examiners 2 through data collection instruments. From the results of the study, it was found that the placement of the zero waste outer pattern took into account the outer design and batik motifs which referred to aspects of size, pattern shape, straight line shape, curved line shape, pattern markings, remaining fabric and pattern placement. So that in this case the researcher found the results of placing the pattern, which was to minimize the waste produced. The resulting zero waste outer on the block system batik motif refers to aspects of the suitability of the finished product with the theme/moodboard, the suitability of the finished product with the design, the finished product on the model on the front, sides and back, the usability of the product is appropriate. The instrument was analyzed and processed using quantitative descriptive with the results of the research in the form of a graph of the suitability of the zero waste outer dress
