STUDY OF MORPHOLOGY AND PREVALENCE OF TREMATODES AND CESTODES FROM FEJERVARYA CANCRIVORA HOSTS FROM THE LEUWILIANG REGION, BOGOR, WEST JAVA
Fejervarya cancrivora.. is a type of rice field frog that is commonly known in Indonesia and is often used as food and medicine. Indonesia is also one of the largest exporters of frozen frog thighs in the world. Research on parasitic worms, especially trematodes and cestodas in frogs, has not been carried out much in Indonesia. For this reason, this research was carried out in Leuwiliang, Bogor, which has quite extensive coverage of rice fields which are the main habitat of rice field frogs. The aims of this research are identifying the morphology of trematodes and cestodas found as parasits on the frog Fejervarya cancrivora., identifying the types of trematodes and cestodas found as parasits on the frog Fejervarya cancrivora., calculating the prevalence and intensity of trematode and cestoda disease attacks found as parasits on frogs. Fejervarya cancrivora., knowing the correlation between body weight and sex of the host for Trematoda and Cestoda which are found as parasits in the frog Fejervarya cancrivora. The research method used in this study was quantitative descriptive which was carried out by identifying, calculating the prevalence and intensity of attacks by trematode and cestoda worms on Fejervarya cancrivora. frog hosts. Identification was carried out morphologically and morphometrically, statistical testing used the Spearmann test. The results of trematode identification showed 5 types, namely Haematoloechus sp., Glypthelmins sp., Pleurogenoides sp., Ganeo sp., Mesocoelium sp. 1 type of cestoda larva Spirometra sp. The prevalence of each type in sequence includes 57%, 33%, 35%, 6%, 5%, and 36%. The attack intensity of each type is in order: 1-48, 1-156, 1-142, 1-50, 1, 1-9. The results of testing the correlation between the number of trematodes and cestodas with sex and body weight of the host did not have a significant correlation.
