Pengaruh Model Experiential Learning terhadap Kemampuan Literasi Matematika dan Berpikir Kreatif Anak Usia 4-5 Tahun di TK Darul Ulum Surabaya

The Effect of Experiential Learning Models on the Mathematical Literacy and Creative Thinking Skills of 4-5 Year Old Children at Darul Ulum Kindergarten in Surabaya

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh model pembelajaran experiential learning terhadap kemampuan literasi matematika dan berpikir kreatif anak usia 4-5 tahun. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah rendahnya kemampuan literasi matematika dan berpikir kreatif anak yang disebabkan oleh pendekatan pembelajaran konvensional yang cenderung berpusat pada guru. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen kuantitatif dengan melibatkan 30 anak sebagai subjek yang terbagi dalam kelompok eksperimen dan kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi menggunakan instrumen yang telah divalidasi oleh ahli. Hasil analisis statistik melalui uji hipotesis menunjukkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 (p < 0,05) untuk kedua variabel, yang berarti terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Kesimpulannya, penerapan model experiential learning melalui tahapan pengenalan konkret, observasi refleksi, konseptualisasi abstrak, dan eksperimentasi aktif terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan literasi matematika serta kemampuan berpikir kreatif anak usia dini.

This study aims to examine the effect of experiential learning models on the mathematical literacy and creative thinking abilities of children aged 4-5 years. The background of this study is the low level of mathematical literacy and creative thinking abilities in children caused by conventional learning approaches that tend to be teacher-centered. The research method used was a quantitative experiment involving 30 children as subjects divided into experimental and control groups. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation using instruments that had been validated by experts. Statistical analysis results through hypothesis testing showed a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05) for both variables, which means that there was a significant difference between the experimental group and the control group. In conclusion, the application of the experiential learning model through the stages of concrete introduction, reflective observation, abstract conceptualization, and active experimentation proved to be effective in improving the mathematical literacy and creative thinking skills of early childhood.
