Training is part of community
empowerment, training can be carried out or occur for a purpose, such as
empowering a group. Training in empowerment is the result of education and
training. The main objective of the training is to improve the welfare of farmer
groups, as well as optimize farmer businesses through PUAP funds and other
assistance from BPP, namely posluhdes or village extension posts as a training
facility. The aim of the research is to analyze the implementation of corn
planting training in increasing the independence of farmer groups at the
agricultural extension center in Pogalan District, Trenggalek Regency.
This research uses a descriptive
qualitative approach. The research subjects were informants who focused on
field agricultural instructors, heads of farmer groups, and members of farmer
groups. Research location at the Agricultural Extension Center. Data collection
techniques using in-depth interviews, participant observation and
documentation. Data analysis in this research carried out data collection, data
condensation, data presentation, and verification. The validity of research
data is credibility, researchers use two methods, namely member checking and
triangulation, then dependability, confirmability, transferability.
The research results show that
the BPP institution's planning process has its own stages for conducting
training starting from determining goals, objectives, infrastructure
suggestions, partnerships to finding the methods that will be used in the
training. Implementation of this training starts from the content of learning
materials, time allocation, learning media, learning methods, training methods.
The evaluation part of this training is shown by the results of the training
activity process. Overall, the evaluation process involves providing
technological materials during harvest, whether farmers experience profits or
losses and whether farmer groups can be said to be independent. In terms of the
independence indicator, farmer groups are able to determine their own destiny,
farmer groups are able to evaluate themselves during training activities. Be
responsible for the choices you have chosen and follow all directions to obtain
the desired results. The ability to make their own decisions occurs in farmer groups
because of the guidance or direction of Field Agricultural Extension Officers.
Solving problems without influence from other people, farmer groups are used to
solving difficulties or problems during corn planting training after going into
the field.
